The GTA had two Board openingsand a ballot of candidates wassent to the full members for avote. Suzanne Burd, retiringas Community EducationCoordinator/ RET ProgramCoordinator at Columbia GorgeCommunity College, was re-elected the the Board and willalso be continuing to serve asBoard Secretary. New Boardmember Kari Fagerness was alsoelected. Kari serves as ExecutiveDirector for Skamania CountyEconomic Development Council.

Congrats to GTA MemberColumbia Gorge CommunityCollege (CGCC), which recentlyannounced that they are nowthe first (and so far only)institution in the PacificNorthwest offering "TrustedOperator Program 'Level One'"certification training forcommercial UAV pilots. "Level
One" is the first of three certification levelsestablished by the Association for Unmanned VehicleSystems International, a global non-profit dedicatedto the advancement of autonomous systems androbotics. Pilots holding Level One certification havedemonstrated their competence to fly UAVs forcertain commercial purposes. Read more.
