Erica Bogard of SIGMA DESIGN is newly GTA Board President and Greg Davis of Overwatch Imaging is newly GTA Board Vice-President. Christy Christopher of the Gorge STEM Hub continues as Treasurer. The GTA sincerely appreciates the work of all of our Board members and especially long-time past officers Mike Graham of Real Carbon and Steve Olson of SightLine Applications , who continue on the Board. GTA at AUVSI Xponential 2019 In early May, the GTA attended the national annual conference and trade show for AUVSI (the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International) and hosted a networking event in partnership with our UAS companies. The event was a great success in building business connections for our companies with plans in place for a repeat in 2020. The GTA is also working towards a coordinated trade show booth presence in 2020. Stay tuned! Corwin Hardham Memorial Scholarship Winner Announced The GTA received 19 applications for our annual college scholarship for Gorge youth pursuing degrees in science, tech, engineering or math. Our scholarship is named in honor of Corwin Hardham and housed at the Gorge Community Foundation. After careful consideration, Andrea Morales of Hood River Valley High School was chosen as this year's scholarship winner! Andrea plans to pursue a degree in medicine. Read more about our scholarship here or contribute now as we continue to grow this fund. Donations are tax-deductible through the Gorge Community Foundation.

GTA Board Officer Changes

Gorge STEM Fair on June 7

Join the GTA and others on June 7th (5-7 pm) for theGorge STEM Fair, hosted by the Columbia Gorge STEMHub! With lots of hands-on activities for youth, thestreets of downtown Hood River will be lined withbooths hosted by local businesses, organizations, andschool groups whose core work is in science,technology, engineering, and/or mathematics.

This is a great opportunity to explore together as acommunity and learn about STEM work being done inour region.
