Provide blended learning tools, expertise and advice to support staff in team based development of best practice, customer focused, online

resources, activities and courses

In house development of best practice, online resources, activities and courses with SWSi SME’s

Liaise with, and project manage 3rd party providers to create best practice, customer focused, online resources, activities and courses with

SWSi SME’s

Work with SME’s to find, test and implement credible and compatible 3rd party resources for use within SWSi systems e.g. Futura and CDX

Instructions for staff attending online facilitator training

To pre-prepare for this training ensure you:enrol into the MoodleATSWSi courseGo to the ‘Facilitate in Moodle topic’ in MoodleATSWSi and

complete the facilitator skills checklist and ‘facilitating online’ moodle bookpre-read the Online facilitation article (Siemens 2002)

organise facilitator (non-editing teacher) access to a section or faculty Moodle which you will be teaching from.bring a headset with a microphone, a USB type headset is best – audio jack type headsets do not work on some SWSi computers. Note: Completing these tasks beforehand is critical. Failure to complete the Prerequisites and/or bring the required equipment may result in you falling behind or be unable to participate in the session. The facilitator will assume these requirements have been met.
