Common Questions and Answers

Q: What do I do if the water is cloudy? Why is it cloudy? A: 1. Check the chemicals

- The water is most likely cloudy because the Chlorine level is low

2. Backwash

3. Check for clogs in tubing and insertion points 4. Call Supervisor and let them know the problem 5. Ad appropriate chemical and balance the water

Q: What do I do if the water temperature is really high/low? A: Call in a work order and notify supervisor. Q: What happens if volatilization occurs in the pool? A: Call supervisor, they will shut down pool and notify the schools. Q: What happens if the probe readings are low? A: Check your incoming water valve and make sure it is open enough. Check your outgoing water valve and make sure it is not open too much. Check line for clogs. Q: What if there is no Chlorine flow? A: There is either a small crack in the line, or your insertion point is clogged. Q: What if an alarm is blinking red on the computer? A: The computer will trip for a number of reasons. Most likely the chemicals were low and the system timed out because it ran continuously for too long. Q: Where are the alarm boxes located for the pool? A: Central- Outside the south entrance Gateway- The south side coaches office Rangeview- Inside the pump room Hinkley- Inside the pool in the coaches office

53

Q: What happens if the water level is too low when you enter the pool? A: Most likely your exit line to the pool is pushing water out too fast. Back it down and manually fill more water. Q: What is wrong if there is ice build up around the regulator of the CO2 tank?

A: There is a leak in one of the tubes going in or out of the regulator. Check for leaks, replace the tubing and then check for leaks again. Q: How do I call in a work order. A: Call 303-367-3000 ext 28600 Q: How do people know when the water is tested A: There is a white board near every pump room letting the general and teachers know when the water is tested each day.
