Definition of biochip Collection of micro arrays arranged on a

solid substrate. Can perform thousand of biological

operation. Human Genome Project. Increased speed of identification of gene. Also used in toxicological, protein

&biochemical research.

Structure And Working Two parts- Transponder & Reader or

Scanner.Transponder: • Uses RFID system.• Not harmful to human body. Fig: Component of Biochip

• Actual biochip implant.• Four parts: Microchip, Antenna Coil,

Capacitor & Glass Capsule.

Controls our Brain

Microchips:• Stores unique identification number, 10-15

digit.• ID number etched to surface.• Cannot be altered.• AVID stores 70 trillion unique numbers.• Electronic circuitary transmit ID number to

reader

Antenna Coil: • Copper around ferrite or iron core.• Simple , tiny, primitive.• Receives and sends signals from the reader

or scanner.Tuning Capacitor:

• Stores small electrical charges(<1/1000 of a watt)

• Tuned to same frequency as reader.

Glass Capsule:

• Houses all components.• Made of biocompatible material.• Polypropylene sheath.• Injected using hypodermic syringe.

Reader or Scanner• Exciter coil provides energy activate chip.• Receiving coil receives data.• Displayed in LCD.• All done in milliseconds.

Development and WorkingBrain ON-OFF Switch• Turn around brain signal.• Primarliy interfere with abberate brain function.• Uses high frequency electric purpose.• Active implant – Medtronics Inc., US.

Future• A chip implanted some where in human body

might serve as a combination of 1.Credit card 2.Driving license 3.Passport 4.Personal identification etc…• No longer would it be needed to worry about

losing all above thing.
