Hope Ferdowsian, MD, MPH, FACP, FACPM, is a double-board certified physician in General In-ternal Medicine and General Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Her clinical, research, and policy interests have focused on the health and protection of vulnerable populations, including humans and nonhuman animals. She is an assis-tant professor of medicine at George Washington University and adjunct associate professor at the Georgetown University Medical Center.
