2.2 Check Software Version
When the machine is on, the data display region will display the current status of the
machine, if you press the “1” button in the controller region then it will display something similar
to that shown in figure 1:

2.3 Checking Product Channel / Motor Configuration Info
When the machine is on, if you press the “2” button on the controller region during this
time the data display region will display the machine’s product channel configuration info, similar
to that shown in figure 2:
Figure 2
More Details:
● A channel is a dedicated place on the shelf where you put a product, each channel has a
motor which dispenses that product. A channel could be a Spiral, a Conveyor belt or a
Hanger.
● There are 6 different characters representing the varying amounts of product channels
for each shelf / row, from left to right on the display the characters represent the amount
for shelf A, shelf B, shelf C, shelf D, shelf E, shelf F;
● The amount of product channels per shelf are given a character from 0-9 or A, 0 means
no product channels, A means 10 product channels.
○ So in the above example:
■ shelf A has 10 product motors
■ shelf B has 10 product motors
■ shelf C has 5 product motors

When the machine is on, if you press the “3” button in the controller region during this
time then the data display region will display the previous vending instance info, similar to that
shown in figure 3:
Figure 3
More Details:
● Product Serial Number: The characters displayed here represent which product channel
the last product was vended from, for example: if the display reads “11”, then the last
product was vended from product motor 1 (the second digit) on shelf 1 (the first digit);
● Product Channel Type Info: What type of channel was the last product vended from, 1 -
Spring Channel, 2 – Conveyor Belt Channel;

There are currently two different types of product retrieval platform lifts: infrared sensing
platform and weight sensing platform. You can tell the two apart by checking if the product
retrieval platform has light receiver holes on the far left and right, if it does then it is an infrared
sensing platform, if it does not then it is a weight sensing platform (You can only choose 1 of the
two types of platforms).
2.5.1 Checking the Status of the Infrared Platform’s Light Receiver
When the machine is on, if you press the “4” button in the controller region during this
time then the data display region will display the status of the platform’s horizontal infrared
sensor and the vertical infrared sensor, similar to that shown in figure 4:
Figure 4
Menu Number Horizontal Infrared Sensor Vertical Infrared Sensor
More Details:
● If the six numbers representing the horizontal infrared sensor are all 0 then that means
everything is working fine, if there are any other characters there then something is
wrong. If the last two numbers representing the vertical infrared sensor are all 0 then
everything is working fine, if there are any other characters there then something is
wrong.
2.5.2 Checking the Status of the Weight Sensing Platform
When the machine is on, if you press the “4” button in the controller region during this
time then the data display region will display the status of the platform’s current data, similar to
that shown in figure 5:
Figure 5

temperature sensor installed
2.6 Checking the Internal Temperature of the Machine
When the machine is on, if you press the “5” button in the controller region during this
time then the data display region will display the machine’s temperature info, like that shown in
figure 6:
Figure 6
● All temps are in CELCIUS (°C)
● Refrigeration Temperature: The current internal temperature of the machine
● Condenser Temperature: The temperature of the refrigeration system’s condenser
○ if the temperature is too high then it will cause issues with the machine’s
refrigeration
● Heating Temperature: The current internal temperature of the machine when heating
● If the machine has no heating or refrigeration equipment, then the display will read “FF”

The location that the product platform needs to go to must be uniquely adjusted
depending on what type of product it is getting.
There are two methods to adjust where the platform will go for each product, the
platform location settings (approximate position) and the platform position fine tuning
adjustments.
When there are any changes to the machine’s configurations (like adjusting a shelf
location), first adjust the product location settings, then perform a vending test, if everything
works smoothly, there is no need to perform the platform position fine tuning adjustments. If you
need further fine tuning, you can take advantage of the accurate location adjustments offered by
the machine to get a finalized location setting.
3.3.1 Product Location Settings
When the machine is on, the steps to set the product locations settings are as shown in
figure 9:
● When the machine is on, press “K1” in the
controller region to enter the settings interface,
the display region will read as shown;
● Pressing “2” in the controller region enters the
settings menu, pressing “confirm” enters the
menu, as shown;
● Pressing ▼ initializes the platform location and
the platform will return to it’s starting location
● Press the corresponding number of the product
shelf you want (i.e. press “3” for the shelf C)

4. Troubleshooting Common Issues
Vending Machine Controller (VMC) Status Descriptions
As soon as a problem occurs with the machine, first check the VMC status, product
retrieval platform status, and the product retrieval gate status, usually the VMC status is the
most common way to determine why a problem has occurred. The vending machine will give
different notifications depending on which operational stage it is currently in.
When the VMC is in different stages of operation, the LCD display provides different
levels of feedback, for more specifics please see the chart below:
VMC Display Status Throughout the Entire Vending Process
# Operational
Stage
Display Explanation of Characters on Display
1 Standby
Displays the current VMC firmware version
2 Receiving a
Buying
Command
Receives command to start vending a product, the display’s characters are explained
as follows
FH: Buy Product
45: 4th shelf and 5th motor
2: Product channel type (1: Spring motor, 2: conveyor belt motor)
4638: The location the elevator is going to receive the product;
★After receiving this command: the machine enters a busy state, the corresponding
status indicator will light up yellow ●, the anti-theft gate will open, and the platform
starts to raise up.
3 Platform has
arrived at its set
location for
receiving the
product
Once the platform arrives at its set location, the display’s characters are explained as
follows:
SH: The height of the platform;
4638: The platform height set by the system;
4645: The actual location of the platform;
4638: The location where the lift platform will receive the product;
★Due to the speed and momentum of the platform’s movement, the actual height will
be slightly larger than the system set height;
4 Start Vending
After the platform arrives at the set location, the mechanical vending apparatus of the
selected product compartment starts to vend, the display’s characters are explained
as follows:
CH: Vending Product;
1130: Data feedback while the platform is still empty;
1140: Data feedback + the check product threshold (10) while the platform is empty;

5 Product
Successfully
Vended
Once the product has been successfully vended, the mechanical vending apparatus
stops operating, the elevator lowers, the display characters are explained as follows:
CH: Vending Product;
1852: The data feedback after the product is successfully vended;
1140: The data feedback when the platform arrives at the product retrieval location;
★If the first 4 digit number is greater than the second 4 digit number, that means the
product was vended successfully. If the first 4 digit number is less than or equal to
the second 4 digit number, then that means the product vending failed.
6 Finished
Vending (The
customer has
already taken
their product)
When the first 4 digit number is less than the second 4 digit number, that means that
the customer has already grabbed their product, and at this time the platform resets
to its initial position and the anti-theft gate is closed and the product retrieval gate is
closed. The display’s characters are explained as follows:
CH: Vending Product;
1130: Data feedback while the platform is still empty;
1140: Data feedback + the check product threshold (10) while the platform is empty;
★After the product is vended, the VMC should continue to display this status and not
refresh until the next time a product vending command is received.
More details: After receiving the product vending command, the machine enters a busy state and the corresponding status indicator will light up yellow ●
