Entering the 2014 Avis Scholarship Program, has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my career.

The Scholarship recognises excellence in customer service and the process really challenged me to examine my own customer service philosophies. It taught me things about myself and encouraged me to further improve my processes and the way I approach situations, which in turn has enabled me to offer my customers the best service possible.

Through the Scholarship program I have been able to further develop my network and learn from some fascinating industry luminaries and like-minded professionals.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS• All Scholarship applicants will receive an Avis two- day weekend rental voucher and a certificate of participation.

SCHOLARSHIP FINALISTS• Return flights to Sydney and accommodation to attend the finalist judging day on 10 November 2015.

• A personal online behavioural profile and a subsequent consultation session with a personal Polonious Resources business coach.

SCHOLARSHIP WINNER• Southern Cross University - the winner will be offered a Scholarship to study at Southern Cross University with financial support of up to $8,000 subject to the terms and conditions identified by the University.

• 12 months’ individual membership of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA ) Australasia & two tickets to attend Cruise3sixty in Sydney (May 2016).

Color VariationsThe preferred version of our logo is the Positive Avis Red, though there are alternatives—Reverse, Positive Black, and Reverse Black. Our logo is always in Avis Red or reversed out of Avis Red—the color that we own—which helps create an elevated experience for customers. The ® should always be the same color as the logo mark. Clear spaceClear space is the area surrounding the logo that must be kept free of all text and graphic elements. It helps our logo stand out, and make the impact we need it to. The minimum clear space on all sides of the logo is equal to the height of the “A” in the logo.

• Polonious Resources - personal profile, feedback session and personalised on-call personal/professional coaching for 12 months.

• Qantas Airways – return business-class airfares to New York for the winner and a companion (economy-class travel to the closest Australian gateway). Flights to be taken prior to September 2016.

• Six nights’ twin-share accommodation in New York and seven days’ AVIS car hire.

• Appointments at Avis World Headquarters to meet senior Avis executives.

• Accompanied site visits to New York travel agencies.

• AFTA - two tickets to the 2016 NTIA Gala Dinner, overnight accommodation in Sydney including breakfast, two return economy class tickets from the capital city of the winner’s state to Sydney and return limousine transfers in Sydney between the airport and the hotel.

• Honorary position on the Avis Travel Agent’s Advisory Board for 12 months.
