SICKNESS AND HEALTH

Healthcare costs in the US continue to skyrocket.

Finally, there is beginning to be some slight emphasis on wellness as opposed to illness.

People are working longer hours and spending more time with TV, video, commuting and mobile devices.

People need to exercise!

HOWEVER, PEOPLE TEND NOT TO ENGAGE IN THE LONG RUN UNLESS THEY ENJOY IT

Sports offers a fun and sustainable way to exercise for life.

However, people will tend to stick with it if they do better.

PEOPLE OFTEN TURN TO BOOKS….

Yet, “how to” books on sports are often written by professional athletes or those who coach them.

PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES HOWEVER:

Tend to be young.

Are generally born with one or more significant advantages that most people do not have.

Can work 40-70 hours a week on their sport.

Typically begin the sport at an early age.

Have different goals from the Weekend Warrior.

They may have internalized their skill so much that they are no longer conscious of what they are doing.

First book covers sports, in general.

Surprising amount of material is true for all sports (and for business and life as well).
