Go Trekking: A trekker’s paradise, Bhutan offers a range of trekking routes for both beginners and professionals. Among many, the recently opened Merak-Sakteng trekking route in Eastern Bhutan takes you to places virtually unvisited by the outsiders. Or you can challenge yourself with the world’s most difficult trek-the snowman’s trek.

Enjoy Nature: Bhutan is home to numerous exotic plants and animals. Orchids, blue poppy and rhododendrons thrive in the wild. Takin, the golden langur, the red panda and the black-necked cranes are among the rare and endangered animals and birds found in Bhutan.

Experience Adventure: There is more to Bhutan's scenic beauty. The fast flowing rivers, the winding roads and the varying terrain provide ample avenues for activities like mountain biking, river rafting, kayaking and many more.

Get Spiritual: Unpolluted environment and tranquil surroundings are perfect for those looking for a peaceful getaway. Experience holistic treatments and take yoga or meditation courses to awaken your spiritual soul.

Nestled in the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, often known as the ‘Last Shangri-La’. From the picturesque villages to the colorful monasteries perched on cliffs, to spotting endangered black necked cranes and to soaking in the sights of the mountains splashed with rhododendron blooms, it is packed with cultural and natural treasures. Bhutan’s natural beauty and spectacular charm never fails to reward the inquisitive.

See the Festivals: Local festivals called ‘Tshechus’ are special events celebrated annually throughout the country. Huge crowds throng the courtyards of Dzongs (fortresses) and monasteries to witness masked dancers swirl in colorful costumes depicting special events in Buddhism.

And of course there are other things to do:Learn to cook traditional Bhutanese food with a local family. Participate in a fun game of archery, the national sport. Visit the local weavers to see them at their handlooms, creating beautiful local textiles. Spend an evening with a learned Buddhist monk to learn about Buddhism and meditation.

Let us know your interests and we will make them happen for you.

Popular Seasons: Bhutan enjoys four distinct seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and, although you can visit all year round, spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) seasons are favored by many. The popular festivals also take place around that time.

Weather: During spring and autumn, the weather is generally warm with bright, sunny days and clear, crisp nights with the temperatures ranging from 5 degrees Celsius to a pleasant 20 degrees Celsius, perfect for trekking as well. Summer months of June, July and August see plenty of rain and in winter, the weather is generally dry and cold with occasional snow in the northern region.
