overall itinerarySpend seven weeks with us on a journey that will reinvigo-

rate you and put you back in touch with the world. As you

circumnavigate our earth, keep an open mind. Soak in the

new cultures you encounter, explore the cities in which

you find yourself, and meet friendly people at the parties.

The overall itinerary gives you an idea of how long you

will stay in each city, and highlights when the parties take

place. You are given time in each city to rest from travel-

ling and fully explore its culture. Each location is colour-

coded based on the party that will occur there. Further

within the guide, more detailed schedules are provided.

Starting off the tour is a true adventure:

a march built of love, good vibes, and

loud music through the streets of Berlin.

Every year, throngs of people come together in the streets

in costumes, body paint or normal clothes to follow floats

and moving DJ booths as they journey through Germany’s

re-emerging capital city. The parade flows past dozens of

important and famous monuments and there is enough

time to linger as the crowd passes.

The parade ends at Brandenburg Gate where the music

shifts to an indoor arena and partiers revel in the famous

DJs that play the crowd in raised booths. Massive video

screens in the sky play animations and psychedllia as the

energy of the party reaches its peak.

historyThe Love Parade began its yearly quest in 1989, four

months before the Berlin wall was torn down, when Mat-

thias Roeingh (Dr. Motte), a German DJ, decided to slowly

drive through Ku’damm playing loud acid-house. 150

people followed. The number of participants increased an-

nually coming together in celebration of electronic music,

re-unification and the human spirit.

Progressive house, techno, and schranz music are featured

styles on the floats that proceed through the crowds.

Gabber and hardcore were also featured until the mid-90s

when they were moved to a counter-demonstration.

In 1996, due to overcrowding on Ku’damm, the parade

was moved to Straße des 17. Juni. It was cancelled in

2004, but promises to come back strong in 2005.

Environmentalists are concerned about the impact the

Love Parade has on the streets of Berlin; therefore, we

encourage you to treat the city as your own.

A four-star hotel located between the Alexander Platz and

Hackescher Markt, is where you will be staying while in

Berlin. Plenty of museums and historical buildings are with-

in walking distance. The hotel itself is a historical building,

built in the 19th century, but has been remodelled with a

modern interior for your utmost comfort.

suggested off-day outingsThough most of Berlin was destroyed during the war,

there is still a lot of history to explore. Check out muse-

ums, architecturally renowned buildings, and quieter spots

like cemeteries and gardens.

Berlin’s art scene is rich and should definitely be explored,

and for those of you looking for night time distractions,

there are plenty of bars and clubs to check out.


CreamIbiza


This is our second stop on the tour.

Get ready for a crazy night on the

party island, with big-name DJs and plenty of sweaty bod-

ies full of energy.

Happening every Wednesday night during the summer,

annually, at club Amensia, Cream has become one of the

most famous parties in the world.

DJs like Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold and Armin Van

Buuren spun at Cream in 2004 and are sure to return in

2005 to take Amnesia by storm.

With a capacity for 10,000 friendly and outspoken people,

and two rooms – one with the resident DJ and one with a

guest – you’re sure to have an unforgettable night!

historyCream Ibiza has been happening since 1999. Originally a

club in Liverpool, Cream began operations at Amnesia in

Ibiza because of the island’s party history.

The party is mainly trance and house music Two DJs spin in

the main room; one being the year’s resident DJ, the other

being a guest. The DJ booth is placed high above every-

one’s heads, but a mirror sits above so the crowd can still

watch the artist.

A dry ice canon shoots mists of cold onto the dancers

periodically throughout the night, often punctuating the

climax of incredible trance tunes as the crowd goes wild.

People mostly dress for the heat, wearing anything from

stylish combat clothes to as little as they can get away with

(girls and guys included).

hotelThe El Corsario hotel, a palace built in the 17th century, is

located in the old quarter and overlooks Ibiza’s port. A 10

minute walk up a steep hill is definitely worth the views

you get from your room.

Elegant and peaceful, invoking the history of the town, it

is the perfect resting spot for before and after the party.

suggested off-day outingsIbiza is an island rich with cultural history; museums are

a great place to start learning about the culture. Fiestas

celebrating saints occurr throughout the year – be sure to

check out at least one of those.

Definitely take advantage of the various beaches offering

such diversions as scuba diving, boat rentals, swimming

schools and more.

For night time excursions, there are plenty of other clubs

and bars to explore in Ibiza town.

Koh Pha Ngan

Next stop: Thailand! The Full Moon Party occurs on one of

Thailand’s islands – that of Koh Pha Ngan (Koh is Thai for

island). About twelve restaurants and bars that line the is-

land’s Haad Rin beach turn their sound systems to face out

onto the beach for the night of the Full Moon Party. The

entire length of sand is turned into a massive, soft dance

floor with people meeting, getting drunk and dancing the

entire night. By the time the sun rises, people have passed

out on the beach; sometimes on their towels, sometimes

on nothing but the sand.

Talented DJs play to the crowds of 15,000 - 20,000 tour-

ists and Thais alike that attend these parties. An incredible

night will surely ensue - just leave your valuables in the

hotel and wear closed shoes!


historyParadise Bungalows is the venue where Full Moon Parties

started back in the early 90s, and still throws the biggest

parties. Big-name DJs always stop by this venue to spin for

the crowds at Full Moon Parties.

A range of electronic music styles is played all along the

beach: psy-trance, techno, drum ‘n bass, trance, funk,

house and hip hop. Certain bars specialize is certain styles,

so ask around when you’re there if you’re interested in a

particular one, or you can let the soundwaves take you on

a journey along the beach and see what you discover.

People are all really friendly on the beach, but it’s safest to

stay with a group you know. However, it is a great place

to meet people and hang out for a night.

As at most of the other parties, you can wear as little

as your swimsuit or body paint. Everything is fair game,

though people don’t tend to wear interesting costumes.

away to allow adequate silence for resting purposes the

day after the party.

temples, public gardens and other cultural spots of signifi-

cance. The shopping is good in Bangkok – you can find a

wide variety of goods for low prices.

Thai dining is definitely something to explore, and there

is plenty of nightlife in Bangkok to keep you entertained

before and after Koh Pha Ngan.

Burning Nevada Man


state of NevadaYour final destination is a week-long, art-based rave culmi-

nating in the burning of a massive, man-shaped structure.

Burning Man takes place annually in a temporary city –

that of Black Rock – in the desert. Art and play structures

are erected all over the area, allowing for week-long,

temporal experimental expressions and experiences. The

attendees are the perpetrators of these structures, and we

will spend some of the down time of our trip designing

our own to be erected upon arrival in Black Rock City.

Everyone must participate for the community to form and

then operate successfully. As a result, spirit and strength

are tested, and lasting relationships are built. The ultimate

life-changing experience to end Invoked World Tour!


historyThe first Burning Man took place in 1986 to celebrate the summer solstice. It took place on Baker Beach in San Fran-cisco, when Larry Harvey and Jerry James lit the fire that burned the first man in the series. Twenty people were witness to that event.

Ever since then, the man has grown up to 40 ft tall and, in recent years, placed on top of tower and temple-like struc-tures to make his presence even higher. Attendees now number over 30,000. Children, teens and adults all attend, making for a party that spans generations and brings ev-eryone together to celebrate life, energy and spirit.

The music is a backdrop for this event; it is mostly psy-trance, but hardcore, breaks, drum ‘n bass, trance and house are also played by the artists that attend.

As with the other parties, wear whatever you like. Every-thing from complete nudity to outrageous costumes is

invited at Burning Man. You are free to express yourself!

them for your entire stay. It also has an arts culture just

waiting for appreciation, and plenty of live entertainment

including comedy acts and performing arts to keep you

going at night. Museums and film festivals throughout

the year are also ready to be explored, making this a city

you can explore to the fullest, or simply one in which you

caatch up on rest and relaxation.

disposal. S/he will have plenty of information on local

sightseeing for each city, and will be able to point out

places to get more information. There are many free days

for you to explore the cities you’ll be visiting, and we

encourage you to seek out your own advetures on those

days. However, on party and travel days, you are expected

to be at the designated locations on time so we can make

sure your experience is incredible. If you are not there, you

will be left behind.
