    Below are some magical items that I had created as an addition to the Shackleand Lash sourcebook. Hopefully they do not unbalance some RPG environments.However, please feel free to use them and I hope they drive the story along well.

    Good Gaming.

    Chains of Binding- Chains of Binding must be made specific to the owner as they go into affect onthe owners touch. Chains of Binding are made to open upon the touch of agiven owner. The chains are ended with shackles, usually, and come in severaldesigns, some very ornate. CL 8th; materials for creation are the fully designedchain and shackles and a drop of the owners blood; Price 15,000 gp.

    Ring of Oppression- A cursed item the Ring of Oppression can cause the wearer to accept a path ofapathy toward any and all subjects up to those that are knowingly lifethreatening. The Ring is usually an instrument to keep targets inline by creatingthe feeling that their directed path is the only path. A WIL save must be madeat the beginning of everyday CL 5th; materials needed for creation is a copperring and the casting Charm on the item, Price 6,000 gp.

    Torq of Subterfuge- The Torq is a cursed item that causes the wearer to become immediatelysubservient to anyone whom presents themselves as a stronger will regardless oftheir true power. CL 5th, the materials needed for the creation are a freshly

    fashioned torq of brass, and the casting of Suggestion upon it. Price 5,000 gp.

    Lash of Wills- The Lash of Wills is a useful tool for the slaver who has an unruly charge. Theunruly, when struck by the Lash of Wills need pass a WILL save versus CL 5 th soas not to become damaged. The Lash of Wills delivers a special sort of damagethat reflects the Willpower saves of the unruly target. When the Lash connects,with an attack action, the damage received is equal to the WILL save of thetarget plus 1d6. Damage suffered from the Lash of Wills, will absolutely notresult in the death of the unruly target, even if the target is reduced past 0 HP.CL 5th. Materials needed for this weapon are a freshly created whip, and the

    creator must have 5 or more ranks in Intimidate. Price 20,000 gp

    Lash of Leaking- The Lash of Leaking is a useful tool for the interrogator. Following each strikewith the Lash of Leaking a WILL save must be made to resist telling the truth tothe next question asked of the individual being subjected to the Lash. The DCfor this resistance is 15. This Lash can take several forms even though most

    popular designs are a short riding whip or that of a sap. CL 7th, to create theLash of Leaking the creator must have an Intimidate with 5 ranks or more, and acast True Seeing upon the instrument. Price 10,000 gp.

    Shackles of Breaking

    - These shackles are more of a weapon than tool of oppression, however, itsability allows for usage for both avenues. The Shackles of Breaking act asthough a +1 enchantment has been placed upon it for both chances of causingdamage. This damage goes into effect when ever the target that the Shackleshad been placed upon act out in quick movements. Thus, is a target is placed inthe Shackles and they become involved in anything more strenuous than normalactivity (i.e. walking, conversation, eating, sleeping, etc) the Shackles will deliverthe equivalent of a Shocking Grasp spell per round that the strenuous activity isbeing performed. CL 5th. Material for the creation of Shackles of Breaking is anewly crafted pair of restraints and bestowing Shocking Grasp on the item viaritual. Price 10,000 gp.

    Lash of Gripping- As it sounds the Lash of Gripping is a +1 whip with the added enchantment ofa +5 to grappling maneuvers. CL 3rd. The creator must have 5 or more ranks inUnarmed Strike. Price 5,000 gp.

    Mask of Pain- The Mask of Pain holds the power to inflict what is known as nemesis effect(to be explained in the following). The Mask, or Masks as no record of howmany had been constructed was ever kept, was made for a guild of

    peacekeeping warriors in ancient times.- When the Mask is donned, and upon a failed WIL save versus DC15, the painof all of the damage the target (whoever is viewed through the mask) had evercaused is thrust back into the targets mind. The target must also view the Maskfor this effect to occur. This effect cannot be controlled by any means asidefrom removing the Mask. This effect also cannot be dampened or negated inanyway if the Mask is viewable in any more detail than a silhouette.- This pain can cause enough damage to bring about mental death, creating aliving zombie of the target. The zombie thus created is uncontrollable, and maybe barely responsive depending on the power of the nemesis effect. The

    nemesis effect works buy turning the pain caused by the target into pain

    received in the targets own mind.- This is a magical weapon, and can only be dampened by magical means. Forgame mechanics purposes inflicted damage of the mask works according to Classas follows. If the character class is not listed then consult the closest applicableclass archetype.- CL 15th, can never be recreated and is considered priceless.- - Divine Magic Users = 1d20+ECL

    - - Arcane Magic Users = 2d20+ECL- - Psionicists = 3d20+ECL- - Rogues = 4d20+ECL- - Other Types (monster, etc) = 5d20+ECL- - Warriors = 6d20+ECL

    * * If the target is multiclassed the pain results are added and averaged out.

    Shackles of the Unharnessed- Shackles of the Unharnessed are a pair of wrist guards that match and can,upon the will of the wearer, join to make a set of iron shackles. Upon thewearers will these can also be disconnected from each other. CL 3rd. Creatormust have 5 or more ranks in Disguise. Price 2000 gp.

    Shiv of Marc- It has been rumored that Marc was a fallen angel whom had been captured bythe extinct culture of the Kiyloin Nomads. Marc had been subject to manytortures throughout his life with the Nomads, as he was placed to work in theirnumerous mineral mines deep within the Elemental Plane of Earth. In Marcs lastdays of life he fashioned a small weapon, not much larger than a knife, for whichhe vowed to slay Terranus Exethis, the earth elemental whom reigned asoverlord of the Kiyloin. He awaited his time and finally struck, dropping theearth elemental with one jab of the enchanted shiv in the Elementals back. TheShiv of Marc bears the ability to cause immediate death to creatures of theElemental Type upon a failed FORT save versus DC15. CL 15th, the item cannotbe recreated and is considered priceless.
