Fellowship Activities

“Honouring our Seniors”

We also held a wonderful program for “Honouring our Seniors” who have been our esteemed teachers thwith the traditional Shawl and Coconut. This event was held at the Hotel Orchid, on 30 October, 2013.

Thirtyfive senior professors were felicitated on this occasion. They shared their experiences, related anecdotes, gave messages of guidance to junior colleagues which were recorded and played back during the function. The program was highly appreciated by all the invitees and they were extremely delighted and very appreciative about this gesture of MOGS.

Monsoon Dhamaka

To promote the spirit of fellowship and camaraderie amongst our members, MOGS held a special event called “Monsoon Dhamaka” in July 2013 at Hotel Dukes Retreat, Khandala in association with Pune and Navi Mumbai Obstetrics Gynecological Societies. The conveners for this program were Dr. Sarita Bhalerao, Dr. Ganpat Sawant, Dr. Mandakini Megh & Dr. Sachin Ajmera.

We started of with 2 Sessions on fitness by Dr. Shirish Patwardhan (President, POGS). Dr. Osama Shawki gave a brilliant talk on GnRH agonists, there were debates on topical issues and talks on newer molecules and cord blood banking. Post lunch, there were games with exciting prizes and high tea was served after a tour to a cord blood banking centre in Khandala.

The program was thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants. It infused us all with a spirit of being close to nature besides promoting cooperation and fellowship amongst the participants.
