“ Dogs are dangerous.” – Awake!, March 22, 1988, page 25

The Bible often likens true worshippers of

God with sheep. Jesus called his disciples “my

sheep,” he has a “little flock” as well as “other

sheep.” (John 10:14, 16; Luke 12:32) But “sheep

… need to be … shepherded.” (The Watchtower,

April 15, 2007, page 25) In literal sheep raising

“there are … dogs for shepherding.” – Good

News to Make You Happy, page 68.

In the congregation “Christian elders …

shepherd the little sheep.” (The Watchtower,September 15, 1993, page 23) They are forming

the modern dog class. Like dogs descend from

wolves, so these elders in a spiritual sense

descend from the “oppressive wolves”, the

anointed remnant. – Acts 20:29; compare The

Witchtower, September 2010, page 12.

Jehovah‟s Witnesses are not just any flock

but they are “‟a great crowd‟ of „other sheep.‟”

(Live With Jehovah’s Day in Mind, page 168).

That‟s why their organizational structure re-sembles what the expert Ellen Nickelsberg

described: “The shepherd is the leader; the dog

is second in command with the authority to act

on behalf of the shepherd at all times … and

the sheep are the subordinate members … to

be protected, contained, controlled and disci-

plined if necessary by the dog.” – Large Flock

Sheep Herding – The Working Relationship.

The “shepherd,” the “leader,” is the “faithful

and discreet slave” who “has a heavy responsi-

bility in caring for the continually increasing

number of „other sheep.‟” (The Watchtower,

May 1, 1993, page 17) “Beginning in 1935, „the

faithful slave‟ has concentrated on locating …

sheeplike ones.” (The Watchtower, February 15,

1995, page 8) In the meantime they have be-

come so many that he can‟t take care of them

alone.

That‟s why the slave class gave to “the dog

– the elders – “the authority to act on behalf o

… [them] at all times.” The pioneers and th

ordinary publishers “are the subordinate mem

bers” of the congregation. They must be “pro

tected, contained, controlled and disciplined …

by the dog [class].”

In fact the elders „contain the sheep‟ by

keeping track of every publisher who cease

attending the meetings. They leave no stonunturned to drive him back into their custody

watch for someone who violates their own o

pens, they „discipline‟ the sheep, e. g. by disfel

lowshipping them.

Years ago, Awake! magazine cautione

against the elders and said: “Dogs are danger

ous.” (March 22, 1988, page 25) But the proph

Exactly like foretold by Isaiah, the modern

elders are “strong in soulful desire,” that is, in

their “desire” for more „souls‟ – they are always

concerned about “increase” and want to send

out as many “fishers of men” as possible. (Mat-

thew 4:19) But though they are “shepherds”

they do not really “know how to understand”

something in the Bible. Yet they regularly

share in the house-to-house ministry, as fore-

told by David: “They keep returning … they

keep barking like a dog and go all around the

city. Look! They make a bubbling forth with

their mouth.” But it is in vain, “f or who is lis-

tening?” – Psalm 59:6, 7.

As long as the elders are alive, Christian

should imitate David who prayed to God: “De

liver ... my precious life from the power of th

dog!” (Psalm 22:20, ESV ) Finally the member

of the dog class will get what they deserve.

SCRIPTURAL QUESTIONS ANSWERED (3)

In Paradise, will men continue to provide for

their family‟s livelihood?

Today a Christian man is obliged to “pro-vide … for those who are members of his

household.” (1 Timothy 5:8) But in paradise

God‟s original purpose, according to which the

woman should be “a helper” for her husband,

will be put into effect. (Genesis 2:18) Accord-

ingly Jesus said that under his rule “two men

will be in one bed” while “there will be two

women grinding at the same mill.” – Luk

17:34, 35.

Thus, in paradise, it will be the women‟s responsibility to provide for their husband

household. They will get up early, “while it i

still night,” and be busy with cooking, baking

spinning and other household activities unti

late at night. (Proverbs 31:14, 18) The men

though will sleep late and then sit in the gate

drinking wine. – Psalm 69:12; Matthew 26:29.

Was Jesus created perfect?

Many so-called Christians think that Jesus

had always been perfect and would have sacri-

ficed his perfect life. But they ignore that the

apostle Paul said about him: “ Although he was

a Son, he learned obedience from the things he

suffered; and after he had been made perfect

he became responsible for everlasting salva-tion.” – Hebrews 5:8, 9.

While Jesus was on earth, “he learned obedi-

ence.” This clearly shows that he had not been

obedient before. He was “playing in the world”

and obviously had something else in mind than

being always obedient to his parents. (Proverbs

8:31, Douay-Rheims) Only after his earthly

course he was “made perfect,” as indicated in

the verse mentioned above. When he died, he

was already obedient but still imperfect.

But “no imperfect human „can by any

means redeem even a brother, nor give to God

a ransom for him.” (The Watchtower, November

15, 2001, page 12) Accordingly Jesus could not

redeem us by his death, and this explains why

God‟s Kingdom has still not come.

How can we avoid the demons‟ influence?

According to Awake! magazine Jehovah‟s

Witnesses must “heed the words of the apostlePaul: „I do not want you to become sharers with

demons.‟” (February 8, 1998, page 24) It is self -

evident that true Christians must not stay at

places where demons are present. Which loca-

tions should we avoid therefor?

Charles Taze Russell answered this ques-

tion already back in 1897 when he wrote: “Sa-

tan … has learned no doubt as the world to

some extent has learned, that „The Secret of

the Lord is with them that fear him. ‟ (Psa.25:14) We may presume therefore that his

representatives, the fallen angels, are fre-

quently present at the little Conferences and

Bible studies, etc., of God's truly consecrated

people, to learn something of the divine plan.”

– Studies in the Scriptures, volume IV, The

Battle of Armageddon, 1916 edition, pages 611,

612.

Hence the demons are present at the meet

ings of the Bible Students – now called Jeho

vah‟s Witnesses. Anyone who wants to pleas

God must stay away from there.

Should Christians use a hole punch?

Modern offices can‟t be imagined withou

hole punches. Even in private life, people al

over the world use such devices to punch doc

uments and file them into folders. Hardly any

body considers the religious background con

nected to hole punches.

However, the holes created by a hole punch

are circular, and in archeology “circles ar

construed as the pagan and Germanic symbo

for sun.” (Werner Brast, Der Bildstein vo

Niederdollendorf ) The sun was worshipped as

god; in actual fact many symbols of pagan reli

gion are derived from a shape that has a bewil

dering likeness to the holes made by a modern

hole punch (see illustration).

By using a hole punch we would promote

pagan symbol and finally contribute to th

worship of the sun-god. Since Jehovah is “no

tolerating rivalry,” as true Christians we mus

not use a hole punch. (Deuteronomy 5:9, Fn

have punched paper in our home. When opening our mail we should always have scissor

handy, so that we can cut off the punched mar

gin and dispose of it.

“God’s executional forces strike without regard to age or sex. For God instructs them to show no mercy.”

– The Watchtower, February 1, 1985, page 4

The prophet Ezekiel foretold a great

“slaughter” or “destructive work” that would be

conducted in our day. (The Watchtower, Janu-

ary 15, 1971, page 52; November 1, 1972, page

660). In “a vision that is fulfilled during our

time … God‟s executional forces are pictured …

by six armed men.” (The Watchtower, April 15,

1987, page 11) Who are these “executional

forces” today, and for how long have they exe-

cuted their “destructive work?”

The book The Finished Mystery explains the

prophecy as follows:

“Ezekiel 9:2. And, behold, six men came

from the way of the higher gate, which lieth

toward the North, and every man a slaugh-

ter weapon in his hand; and one man among

them was clothed with linen, with a writer's

inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and

stood beside the brazen altar. … The writer's

inkhorn symbolizes that the seventh man's func-

tion was to write. God identified him thus: When

was at Allegheny, Pa., an open Bible was to bepainted on one of the large front windows of the

office. A sign painter, not in the Truth, painted

the open Bible; and without instruction from any

one, of his own volition, he painted the Bible as

open at Ezekiel, Chapter 9. The man of linen was

the Laodicean servant, the Lord's faithful and

wise steward, Pastor Russell. When Pastor Rus-

sell saw this, he turned pale. Ezekiel seeing the

man in linen, types Pastor Russell thereafter see-

ing himself to be the antitype of that man – one

of the most prolific writers of the Age.” – pages

417, 418.

So it is evident that the “man of linen” was

Charles Taze Russell, the first official presi-

dent of the Watch Tower Society. He diligently

completed the task that God had assigned to

him:

“Ezekiel 9:4. And the Lord said unto him,

Go through the midst of the city, through

the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark up-

on the foreheads of the men that sigh and

that cry for all the abominations that be

done in the midst thereof. … Hither and

thither, traveling and preaching for nearly forty

years Pastor Russell obeyed this command; and

through the printed page of books, tracts and

newspapers he went into every corner of the

world. ... Ezekiel 9:11. And, behold, the man

clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn

by His side, reported the matter, saying, I

have done as Thou hast commanded me. –

Pastor Russell was faithful to his great task of

writing and publishing the Truth … In October,

1916, he died, and beyond the veil has, ere this,

undoubtedly, reported in the presence of Christ

that he has done the work he was given to do.”

But “it was not the linen-clad man that did

the destructive work. It was the „six men‟ with

weapons.” (The Watchtower, November 1, 1972,

page 660) “The six with the Sword … symbolize

all the Elijah class,” and “the Elijah class [is]

the faithful and discreet slave.” – The Finished

Mystery, page 417; The Watchtower, April 15,

1995, page 25.

Accordingly the marking work conducted by

Brother Russell was completed with his death

in 1916. Then the other “six men” started their

“destructive work.” Hence God‟s executional

forces are the members of the “faithful and

discreet slave” who appeared on the scene after

1916, with Joseph F. Rutherford and the fol-

lowing Watchtower presidents the leading way.

Ezekiel‟s prophecy continues to describe the

assignment they received from God:

“Ezekiel 9:5. And to the others He said inmine hearing, Go ye after him through the

city, and smite: let not your eye spare, nei-

ther have ye pity. – After Pastor Russell's writ-

ings have reached an individual, the other mem-

bers of the Elijah class, the „Truth people,‟ ap-

proach him with the sword … Ezekiel 9:6. Slay

utterly old and young, both maids and little

children, and women … and begin at My

Sanctuary.” – page 419.

Joseph F. Rutherford and his successors

„went after Pastor Russell,‟ but not to mark the

people but rather to “slay” them. At God‟s “sanc-

tuary” – the organization founded by Charles

Taze Russell – they „began.‟ Contrary to Brother

Russell who had put emphasis on Christian

qualities and freedom, they implemented a dic-

tatorial organization and made preaching slaves

out of Watch Tower readers.

Of course they did not “slay” literally – be-

cause it is forbidden by secular law – but in a

transferred sense many people lost their lives

through the activities of these “executiona

forces.” (compare The Watchtower, Novembe

15, 1952, page 703) These persons are stil

breathing, but they must “live no longer fo

themselves.” (2 Corinthians 5:15) They ar

“devoting their entire lives to Jehovah‟s …

[Witnesses]”; many keep strolling from hous

to house for decades, trying to give uninterest

ing magazines to uninterested people. – Th

Some resign from their job or leave thei

family to have even more time for the Watch

tower Society‟s interests. (The Watchtower

May 1, 2007, page 9; 1980 Yearbook of Jeho

vah’s Witnesses, pages 18, 19) And “God‟s exe

cutional forces” will continue to “strike withou

regard to age or sex. For God instructs them t

show no mercy.” (The Watchtower, February 1

1985, page 4) Hence, also in the future “utterlold and young, both maids and little children

and women” will get caught in the Watchtowe

organization‟s clutches and be exploited for it

purposes.

What should we do to escape the execution

al forces? Since they are not allowed to go nea

The March 1, 1907 issue of Zion’s Watch

Tower calculated the date of Armageddon as

follows: According to Genesis 15:9, Abraham

sacrificed “an heifer three years old, and a she

goat three years old, and a ram three years old,

a turtle dove and a young pigeon.” The writer

assumed that a bird would be “considered

young up to one year old,” so that the two birds

would have been that age. Hence the total age

of the sacrificed animals would have been elev-

en years (3 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 1).

Counting 360 days per year, this makes

3,960 days, and using the “a day for a year”

rule it corresponds to 3,960 years – lasting

“from the [Abrahamic] covenant” made in 2045

B.C. until 1915 A.D. The Laymen's Home Mis-

sionary Movement later found a miscalculation

and corrected the date to April 17, 1916, 6pm. –

and the approximate time of the sacrifice, we can

calculate the exact date of Abraham’s resurrection

So he shifted the start of the 3,960 years b

this year Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would ris

from the dead, assume power and reign over al

the earth from Palestine and Beth-Sarim. (Mi

lions Now Living Will Never Die, page 88; ThNew World, page 104) Fortunately the prophe

cy was not fulfilled, so that Joseph F. Ruther

ford could reside in Beth-Sarim until his death

Russell, was not content with Rutherford‟

explanation and found another solution. Th

original edition of his book about the divin

plan of ages was in line with Russell‟s chrono

ogy: “Reckoning the ages of the two birds a

one year each, the aggregate ages of the fivanimals is eleven years. If we regard thes

eleven years as prophetic, they represent

period of 11 times 360 = 3,960 years. This peri

od … dated from the year 2045 B.C. when th

covenant was first made with Abraham

In later editions, however, the date of the

Abrahamic covenant was changed from 2045 to

2026 B.C. (see Abrahams Lebensgeschichte

[German edition of Abraham’s Life History], 3rd

edition 1922, page 19) Instead of arguing that

the Abrahamic covenant would have become

valid only 10 years after it was made, he shift-

ed its institution by 19 years. Considering that

there was no year zero, his calculation dated

“the end of the Times of the Gentiles” for 1935.

So the end of the “times of the Gentiles,”

the resurrection of Abraham, and Armageddon

were foretold for 1915, 1925 and 1935, but

nothing happened in these years. Does that

mean that the foundation of the calculation is

wrong? Did Charles Taze Russell, Clayton J.

Woodworth, Joseph F. Rutherford, John and

Morton Edgar, Fred Franz and other faithful

men make a calculation that lacks a solid

foundation? No, it is absolutely unthinkable

that such devout men would have dangled after

a figment.

In actual fact the calculations were correct,

but due missing archaeological knowledge

these men were unable to compute Abraham‟s

lifespan correctly. Today we know that the

Abrahamic covenant was made neither in 2045

nor in 2035 nor in 2026 B.C., but “on Nisan 14,

1943 B.C.E. … the Abrahamic covenant tookeffect.” (Insight on the Scriptures, volume I,

page 522). Accordingly Armageddon will take

place March 29, 2018.

Since the “times of the Gentiles” will only

be over in 2018, we can expect the events men-

tioned above for Nisan 14 (April 17) 2011 (after

sunset). Jehovah‟s Witnesses will celebrate the

memorial on this evening, and it is possible

that an announcement in the congregation will

dismay many publishers. Maybe some of those

attending will browse the congregation library,

there “come to the works of Pastor Russell” and

thereupon decide to leave the Watchtower

organization.

After April 17, 2011, God will finally start

to destroy the churches and their members.

The group he will likely use to accomplish this

job are the atheists, gathering already today

around Richard Dawkins, Michael Schmitt-

Salomon and other antireligious masterminds.

What is if the years 2011 and 2018 comeand go without Armageddon? Of course this is

impossible, because these years are distinctly

indicated by the scriptures. (compare The

Watchtower, September 1, 1922, page 262) But

even if that would happen, the calculations

would not be wrong. In such a case, Russell

and his successors would only have overlooked

a small detail.

but thirteen or fifteen years; accordingly th

prophetic timespan would not be 3,960 bu

That would mean that the “times of th

Gentiles” would end in 2636, 2645, 2655, o

2738 A.D. resp. in 3356, 3365, 3375 or 345

A.D. The release of the demons and destructio

resp. in 3349, 3358, 3368 or 3451 A.D.

Hence there can be no doubt that the calcu

lations of Charles Taze Russell, John Edga

What Has Jesus Done for Mankind to date? As is known, Jesus Christ is ruling over all

the earth since 1914 (or 1874, as Charles Taze

Russell believed). At the same time Jehovah‟s

Witnesses and other Christian groups claim

that “world affairs continue to worsen.” (The

Watchtower, September 15, 1979, page 2) Does

that mean that Jesus rule‟ has not done any-

thing for mankind so far?

No, this is not true. In actual fact, Jesus

made lots of inventions, bringing great benefit

for mankind. The apostle John saw in a vision

an “angel descending from heaven … and the

earth was lighted up from his glory.” (Revela-

tion 18:1) There can be no doubt that this angel

is “the Lord Jesus.” – The Finished Mystery,

page 273; see also Revelation – Its Grand Cli-

max at Hand! , page 259.

In what way “the earth was lighted up from

his glory?” “The glories of the New Day, all

discovered since 1874, are adding machines …

aluminum … artificial dyes, automatic cou-

plers … barbed wire … correspondence schools,

cream separators … Darkest Africa, dis

ploughs … dynamite … electric welding, esca

lators, fireless cookers … match machines …

North Pole … shoe sewing machines, smoke

less powder, South Pole ... sky scrapers … talk

ing machines … vacuum cleaners.” (The Fin

Imagine how our world would look lik

when Jesus would not be present! There woul

be no dynamite, no barbed wire and no sky

scrapers! We would have to cope without add

ing machines, artificial dyes, disk ploughs

cream separators, shoe sewing machines, an

match machines. There would not even be th

North Pole and the South Pole! Darkest Afric

would not exist!

So we can clearly see that Jesus Christ ha

been ruling over the death for decades now. Hi

inventions prove beyond doubt that the end o

the present systems of things is imminent!

“The wilderness … will blossom.” – Isaiah 35:1, 2

In paradise “there will come to be plenty of grain on the earth; on the

top of the mountains there will be an overflow.” (Psalm 72:16) Indeed, as

foretold in the Bible, even “the wilderness … and the desert plain … will

blossom.” (Isaiah 35:1, 2) What will make this exceptional growth possible?

The prophet Jeremiah provides the explanation. Regarding “those slain

by Jehovah,” he says: “As manure on the surface of the ground they will

become.” (Jeremiah 25:33) True, “the day of Jehovah is near,” and “the

dead bodies of mankind must … fall like manure upon the face of the

field.” – Isaiah 13:6; Jeremiah 9:22.

In order that paradise can provide sufficient food for all worshippers of

Jehovah, enough infidels must be destroyed at Armageddon. Accordingly

we should increase our efforts in the preaching work, so that the people in

our territory will really deserve their destruction! God will fertilize the soil with worldling

“Since it was in ancient Babylon that false

religion got its start,” true Christians must

avoid anything “that originated in Babylon.”

– I saiah’s Prophecy – Light for All Mankind,

What does this have to do with foreign lan-

guages? The city that we call “Babylon” today

“was called Babel, because there Jehovah hadconfused the language of all the earth.” (Gene-

sis 11:9) Accordingly all modern languages

“originated in Babylon,” except Hebrew, for

“the Bible indicates that the language later

called Hebrew was … [the] original „one lan-

guage.‟” – Insight on the Scriptures, volume II,

page 202.

Hence it would be a serious sin against God

to learn a foreign language that originated in

Babylon. Rather we should learn Hebrew, be-cause “God will soon come to replace this old

system of things with a new one,” and “the

language recognized and used by the [new]

world government, the official language” will

be “mankind‟s original language,” that is, He-

brew. – The Watchtower, July 1, 2009, page 12;

Our Incoming World Government – God’s King -

dom, page 6.

Very soon the earth will be “filled with hu-

man creatures speaking one common language,the language of their first earthly father, the

perfect man Adam.” (God’s Kingdom of a Thou-

sand Years Has Approached, page 49) Since wmust be “preparing now to live in God‟s … new

world,” the Watchtower study edition will b

published only in Hebrew from 2013 on. Ther

can be no doubt that every other languag

must be “particularly avoided by … [Chris

tians] because of its pagan origin.” – Awake

December 22, 1975, page 28.

Consider also the following: In “the lan

guage originally given … [to the first man] b

God,” there were no words for “internet”, “television” or “rock concert.” Shouldn‟t that mak

us wonder? For sure, as true Christians, w

must not only avoid all languages of Babyloni

an origin but also everything that doesn‟t hav

a name in the original Hebrew. (In modern

Hebrew, spoken by the apostate Jews, ther

are words for such things; however, these wer

taken over from Babylonish languages and ar

not suitable for worshippers of Jehovah.)

“Out they come.” – Luke 4:36

To a certain degree, many Christians

take measures to avoid Satan‟s influence.

They do not listen to worldly music, wear

old-fashioned clothes, avoid secular litera-

ture and do not watch television. They do

not use a computer, much less the internet.

But all this is not enough to isolate oneselfcompletely from the devil‟s influence.

The apostle Paul called Satan “the ruler

of the authority of the air.” (Ephesians 2:2)

He manipulates the air that we breathe –

and we cannot completely shield us against

it. However we can take measures to mini-

mize the influence that Satan‟s air has on us.

One option would be to breathe less air.

According to alternative practitioner Ingrid

Revers-Schmitz, “ Arsenicum [white arsenic]

makes more capable to get along with less

air.” (Praxisbuch Homöopathie für Heb-

ammen, 2006 edition, page 216). High alti-

tude and special devices provide additional

possibilities for training to consume less air.

A second option to reduce the influence

of Satan‟s air would be to get rid of it asfast as possible. Accordingly God‟s channel

of communication advises us: “Burping is an

acceptable – even desirable – expression of

appreciation … Rather than deciding which

of these neutral customs you personally like

or dislike, concentrate on adopting the righ

attitude toward them.” (The Watchtower

October 1, 1998, page 20) Burping offers u

the opportunity to exhale right away some

of the polluted air that we ingested during

eating.

But there is another option to get rid o

Satan‟s air. Not for nothing, Jesus called i

“getting out” or “coming out” when de

mons left a person. (Mark 9:29; Luke 4:36

For example, we could eat more beans o

sauerkraut, so that even more of Satan‟s ai

can „get out‟ through our bowel. This may

irritate those around us, but Christians mus

lead “a life of dedication to Jehovah regard

less of how others might view them.” – Th

Is it necessary to take such measures

“Some have apparently taken lightly th

fact that Satan is „the ruler of the authority

of the air.‟” (The Watchtower , April 15

1993, page 22) But in our “struggle agains

superhuman spirit forces” we must use eve

ry opportunity to reject their influence(United in Worship of the Only True God

page 62) By burping, farting and ingesting

arsenic we can reduce the impact of the

devil‟s air and so come nearer to God. Fo

sure this is worth every effort!

THE NEW KINGDOM SONGS – ARE THEY FOR ME?

The January 2009 issue of The Witchtower showedthat the Kingdom Melodies from the book Sing Praisesto Jehovah can lead to fantasies of violence, depressionsand feelings of inferiority. The article also explained that

the protagonists of these songs can be connected torebellion and drug abuse and hence such songs aretotally unacceptable to Christians. But in 2009 theWatchtower organization published a new songbook,entitled “Sing to Jehovah.” Can we now participate insinging, or are the new songs still reprehensible?

Granted, the new book does not contain pictures ofmurderers anymore, but the singing hippies were simp-ly replaced by bearded mythical creatures. And themeaning of the songs was only marginally changed.Song 132 says about God: “You soon will cause yourenemies to fall.” Regarding billions of humans – all whoare not Jehovah’s Witnesses – the song continues:

“Doom now awaits them; they will not survive Arma-geddon.”

Though the German edition does no more call Jesus“a great annihilator,” both editions still threaten people.The new song 133 says that “soon Christ will crushearthly enemies,” and of course the term “earthly ene-mies” refers to all humans who are no Jehovah’s Wit-nesses, and even to those who are Jehovah’s Witnessesbut don’t have enough field service hours, don’t attendall meetings or have doubts regarding one or twodoctrines.

The new book still promotes cravings for revengeThe German version of song 49 even encourages thsingers to “be happy” while seeing “tens of thousandsperish by their side. Also the new songs continue t

support feelings of inferiority. How should peopldevelop a healthy confidence when they keep singin(in song 80) that God’s “mercy” would be “f ar beyonwhat we deserve?” And doesn’t song 81 also promotdepressions?

Because we are imperfect, o Jehovah,the inclination of our heart is flawed.There is a sin that easily ensnares us – a lack of faith in you, the living God.

It is known that among Jehovah’s Witnesses therare many alcoholics. Rather than helping them to geaway from their addiction, song 18 encourages them“Come drink, you thirsty ones!” Also, the book containcountless lies, for example in song 30:

Christ now in power is here,and Armageddon is near.

Satan’s old system will soon pass away. Now is the season to preach.

Song 118 even claims that “life-giving truth” coulbe found at the Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnessewhich is another blatant lie. But the worst of all is nothe meaning of the songs but their linguistic styleThough the English lyrics do not contain archaic an

unusual words as the German ones do, many of themsound like children’s songs, not like exalted works fothe praise of God. They must offend the creator of thwonderful language. Hence we should carefully avoiparticipating in the singing of these detestable songs!

is simply vanity. For if its friend we‟d be, Jehovah‟s favor we would not see.

Religious people usually think of hell, not

marriage, when they hear the term “fiery tor-

ment.” But not for nothing, during the last

decades the expression “marital hell” was

minted – so it seems that the two institutionshave various things in common.

According to most religious, “hell … is

commonly inhabited by demons.” (Wikipedia)

French writer Henry de Montherlant explained

it in more detail: “In hell there will surely be

certain demonesses who will desire one without

one's desiring them.” ( Pity for women, page 33)

In fact, many wives can be described as

“demonesses.” Demons are commonly depicted

as dragons, and the German term “Hausdra-chen” (“house dragon”) refers to “a woman who

awesomely governs the family, spreading fear

and terror.” – maennerrat.de.

But it‟s not always the women making mar-

riage “a place of fiery torment” for their hus-

bands. “In Africa, South America, several Pa-

cific islands, and the United States, marital

violence [by men] is a leading cause of female

suicide.” ( Awake! , January 8, 1997, page 31)

Because of religious concepts, such abusedwomen often have no chance to escape their

violent partners. Thus it is true that “single-

ness … [would be] something better for certain

men and women.” – The Watchtower, August 1,

1977, page 456.

Marriage is a place of fiery torment for many couples

Married couples are “yoked together” like slaves

But even if husband and wife are on good

terms with each other, marriage is the sourc

of much evil. Many problems arise becaus

men listen to their wives. This started alread

early in human history. Right after the fall oman, God said to Adam: “Because you listene

to your wife‟s voice … cursed is the ground

(Genesis 3:17) So the original sin and all suf

fering on earth exist because a man listened t

his wife. No wonder the apostle Paul said: “Th

women must keep silent. They don't have th

right to speak.” – 1 Corinthians 14:34, GWT .

Jesus knew about the suffering that mar

riage would bring upon men and women; henc

he described married couples as “yoked togeth

er.” (Matthew 19:6; Mark 10:9) According to

reference work “the yoke appropriately repre

sented enslavement … as well as oppressio

and suffering … Removing or breaking th

yoke signified liberation from bondage, oppres

sion, and exploitation.” (Insight on the Scriptures, volume II, page 1216) Paul later adde

that even if the “great tribulation” would b

long in coming, married Christians will alread

have “tribulation in the flesh.” – Matthew

24:21; 1 Corinthians 7:28.

As Jesus‟ disciples correctly noticed “it i

not advisable to marry.” (Matthew 19:10

That‟s why marriage will be abandoned in

paradise; then “neither do men marry nor ar

women given in marriage.” (Matthew 22:30

Until then, marriage will remain a place o

fiery torment.

Jehovah‟s Witnesses claim to be “visible agents of God.” (The Watchtower , July 1

1963, page 411) Many people in French Guiana though considered them “agents o

the devil.” ( 2001 Yearbook of Jehovah’s Witnesses, page 244) What is the truth?

As an example we will consider one prominent Jehovah‟s Witness, already men

tioned by Charles Taze Russell in 1889. At that time he wrote that “the Great Pyra

mid of Egypt is one of God's Witnesses.” (Millennial Dawn, volume II, The Time i

at Hand , page 366) In the next volume he added “that the Great Pyramid is Jeho

vah's „Witness.‟” – Millennial Dawn, volume

III, Thy Kingdom Come, page 320.

Whose agent is this Jehovah‟s Witness? Ac-

cording to Joseph F. Rutherford, “the great

pyramid of Gizeh, as well as the other pyra-

mids thereabout … were built … under the

direction of Satan the Devil.” (The Watch

Tower , November 15, 1928, page 344) Anoth-er issue featured “corroborative proof that

the structure of stone was built at the dicta-

tion of Satan.” – The Watchtower , February 1,

1929, page 45.

The pyramid which was “built … under the

direction of Satan the Devil” was “Jehovah‟s

Witness”. Accordingly it must be said that the

people in French Guiana were right and thatJehovah‟s Witnesses truly are “agents of the

devil.” No wonder that the former Malawian

president Banda considered “Jehovah‟s wit-

nesses the „Devil‟s Witnesses‟ and as a „stupid‟

sect!” – Awake!, December 8, 1972, page 22.
