Family events - all ages

Pancake Bluegrass breakfastSaturday, February 9

The first one was such a hit, we had to do it again! Join us with your whole family for our second Bluegrass Breakfast. Relax and enjoy live music, great games and activities, and a fun filled Saturday morning here at Ooch Downtown! From climbing, to crafting, to eating syrup-soaked pancakes and drinking coffee while chatting with great company, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy! Whether your camper is participating in the In-City Sleepover the night before or not, here’s a great way to rendezvous for breakfast before starting your busy day!

Camp should be fun for everyone! This night will feature three separate programs: one for parents and guardians, one for teens, and one for our younger campers.

Parents/Guardians – Building Courage and Facing Your Fears Join Billy Anderson, (Certified Life and Career Coach and Ooch Volunteer) for an evening of exploring the number one ingredient to successful change. Whether it is change that YOU choose or change that life dumps in your lap – that ingredient is courage. The good news is this: the ability to take more risks and become more comfortable with life’s unknowns is 100% in your control. It begins with understanding the fears and limitations that make us human, so you can plan to manage those fears in order to reach your goals.

Teens – Pick one of the following workshops: 1. How to Dream Big and then Make Your Dream Come True – Join one of Ooch’s in-house program specialists and learn how to set some realistic yet challenging life goals and then how to make them happen for real!2. Animation Workshop – Join us in our media lab as we use cameras, stop-motion, and miniature sets to film a short animated movie for the big screen.

Kids – Giant Group Games Join us for big games of Capture the Flag, Ultimate Scavenger Hunt, Hide and Go Seek, and more!
