FEATURED POUILLY-FUMD. Dagueneau, "Buisson Renard", 2011 - $179
Farming individual vineyards in his hometown
of Saint-Andelain outside Sancerre, the wines of
Didier Dagueneau forever changed the potential
of Sauvignon Blanc. Practicing healthy, natural
farming while never accepting mediocre produce,
Dagueneau became the universal benchmark for the
varietal. We chose the Buisson-Renard vineyard
because it shows more complexity in its youth than
any of the other parcels. And because it is rockstar.

Txakoli (Chalk-Oh-Lee) from Spain's Basque region
is tart, racy, and slightly effervescent which makes it
a natural pairing to the shellfish and seafood of the
Bay of Biscay. The grape responsible for this wine is
Hondarrabi Zuri (what?)

FEATURED NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNONArietta, "Quartet", 2012 - $139
I believe it was composer Stan Getz who said "A
good quartet is like a good conversation amongst
friends interacting to each others ideas." This
opulent, well structured wine is just that. Modeled
after the famous blended wines of Bordeaux's Left
Bank; "Quartet" offers the strength and precision one
expects from the Napa Valley yet with the nuances of
a well made Claret.

FEATURED SONOMA COASTSoliste, "Narcisse", Pinot Noir, 2013 - $88
Burgundy born and raised, Claude Koeberle is
considered one of the world's foremost experts of
Pinot Noir, and his wines never cease to amaze.
"Soliste" comes from the name that winemakers in
Burgundy use for a special barrel reserved solely for
family and friends. Most of their wines are made in
what they call the "MonoClone" style, using single
clones from single sites and aged individually in
a single cooperage. The "Narcisse" is a blend of
these "MonoClones" that is given an additional 8
months of aging for the cherry/berry fruits and the
earthy/minerally terroir to homogenize into a pure
expression of Sonoma County Pinot Noir.

FEATURED ZINFANDELTurley, "Old Vines", California, 2012 - $89
Wine drinkers will forever debate which country
makes the best interpretation of certain grapes.
Except one: Zinfandel. Unparalleled in the world of
wine is domestic Zin - and there is no name more
synonymous with this grape than Turley. This wine
is made from grapes sourced from 18 tiny vineyards
around California where the average age of the vines
is upwards of 80 years old. Turley's wines provide
a tremendous structure and concentration of flavor
that is rivaled by few, but envied by all.

FEATURED BORDEAUXChteau Belgrave, Haut-Mdoc, 2000 - $166
A grand cru class wine from an exceptional
vintage lends itself to incredible aging potential.
These bottles have been resting for 15 years in
the underbelly of the winery, their only other home
before making their way to our cellar. A delicate,
yet powerful, balance of bright ripe fruit and rustic
terroir, this wine's pedigree is shining through
beautifully.

to mind. Disappointment and frustration accompany
the thrill of enjoying ethereal wines. Few producers

Clair. His "Vaudenelles" vineyard showcases the
unique terroir of the northern Cte d'Or.

FEATURED BAROLORenato Ratti, "Marcenasco", 2010 - $133
The region of Marcenasco has been producing
treasured wine since the 12th century. The wines of
Renato Ratti are traditionally encouraged to age for
an extended period of time, as their tannins are too
ripe.... unless there is an appropriately rich cut of
meat to absorb them and balance one's experience.

FEATURED TORONumanthia, 2008- $119
The Numanthia 2008 vintage is special as it was
the first vintage at the winery for Manuel Louzada,
their current winemaker. During his first vintage,
he wisely held back a mere 1,000 bottles with their
future undecided. These bottles remained at the
winery as his personal collection, aging beautifully in
ideal conditions. It was eventually decided that these
bottles should be released to the public in order to
demonstrate their incredible aging potential. Using
100% Tinto del Toro (Tempranillo), this wine is able
to combine power and concentration of fruit with the
elegance and terroir of an Old World wine.

FEATURED POMEROL MAGNUMChteau Gombaude-Guillot, 1979 - $357
Few regions in wine command the the respect of
Pomerol. Located along Bordeaux's right bank, the
famed Crasse de Fer - iron rich clay soils - commit to
the wine an elegance and attitude not found amongst
the great Chteau of the Medoc or anywhere else in
Winedom. Lost behind the famed 1978 vintage, the
1979 is drinking excellently at the peak of its maturity.
