SAFETY AND SECURITYThe Kenneth More Theatre premises are monitored by CCTV. The Kenneth More Theatre reserves the right to remove anyone creating a disturbance, whatever the cause.

FANCY DRESS & COSTUME HIREThe Theatre has an extensive range of costumes available, ranging from 60’s club wear to period costumes. The department is open on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6pm to 8.30pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 2pm. Telephone 020 8553 0444.

THEATRE HIREThe Theatre facilities are available for hire for theatrical performances, conferences, charity events etc. The main stage has a full-height fly tower and a comprehensive set of lighting and sound equipment. The auditorium seats up to 358 people. We also have a number of other areas available; our Cowan Studio (which seats up to 50 people but does not have disabled access) and our downstairs Studio which is fully accessible. Call the Theatre Manager on 020 8553 4464 for further information and charges.

The Kenneth More Theatre are thrilled to have teamed up with Simon Brett and Chris Summerfield to present the PREMIÈRE of their charming new musical AFTER HENRY. A musical from the heart of Middle England, it followed the fortunes of Sarah France , a well-to-do GP's wife, getting on with life after the death of her husband Henry. She shares her large Edwardian house with daughter Clare and mother Eleanor Prescott.Literally sandwiched between the two generations: Sarah's on the middle floor, with 'Mother' (as she's mainly known) on the top and Clare in the basement. While Clare is keen to assert her independence, Mother is more intent on running her gossip network through her on-call 'geriatric Mafia'. Salvation comes in the shape of Russell Bryant, who runs the crumbling Bygone Books shop, where Sarah works. Originally written for, and broadcast on Radio 4 before transferring to television, starring Prunella Scales and Joan Sanderson, AFTER HENRY is a true British institution.

It’s time for an uproarious new musical comedy!! IODS Productions presents LEND ME A TENOR, a riotous, unpredictable explosion of mistaken identities and unexpected romance! It’s 1934, and the world’s greatest tenor Tito Merelli has come to Cleveland, Ohio, to save its Grand Opera Company. When he is unexpectedly incapacitated, chaos ensues – including a scheming soprano, a tenor-struck ingénue, a jealous wife and the Cleveland Police department. A fast-paced musical farce for an evening full of laughter!

Take a trip with us to Runyonland and meet a cast of vivid characters on the way. The musical fable set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City was originally premiered on Broadway in 1950. It ran for 1200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Be introduced to: Sister Sarah Brown, out to reform the sinners of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the coolest high roller of them all, who woos her on a bet and then falls in love; Adelaide, engaged for 14 years to Nathan Detroit, who is desperate to find a location for his floating crap game. Add to the mix, gangsters, policemen, Save-a-Soul Missionaries, Hot Box Girls and music by Frank Loesser featuring such favourites as Luck Be a Lady, Take Back Your Mink, Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat and you have the recipe for an inspiring evening – we welcome your company on the journey.
