Soaring 53 metres above the beach, the tower’s observation deck will slowly revolve through 360 degrees, offering dramatic views over Weymouth & Portland’s Olympic sailing waters, the famous Jurassic Coast and the Dorset countryside. There is an entry charge for this attraction www.weymouth-tower.com During the Olympic Games there will be some on-water restrictions which will apply to users of the beaches identified in this brochure. These restrictions are designed to ensure the safety of beach users and Olympic athletes / officials by providing clear boundaries between these groups during Games times. Some forms of non-powered craft, such as kayaks, canoes, dinghies, etc are permitted to enter the sea from these beaches; please refer to the diagram in this leaflet for specific details. Users of the beaches identified in this leaflet are NOT permitted to launch any powered craft into the sea from these beaches during the Games. Users of the beaches identified in this leaflet are permitted to bathe / swim providing they remain within 50m of the shore or within any buoyed areas. Jet skis are NOT permitted in any of the Olympic waters during the Games period.
