Introduction

• After we have produced a finished music video and ancillary products including both digipak and magazine advert, I have created a survey to the audience so I can collect information from them.

• This survey is important because I get to know about the audience feedback to see whether my products fit in the genre of house music and most importantly, if my media products have successfully targeted to the audience (Teenagers – Adults) by summing up their responses.

• The following slides will show the survey I have created with audience responses and my evaluation.

• Here are the 4 questions I have came up with, I have collected all results and presented it in a percentage form so it is easier to read what the audience think overall.

Do you think all ancillary products and

music video link to each other effectively?• More than half of the audience think the products I have created

promote each other effectively. They liked how I have used the same elements in both products such as the images, colour scheme and layout.

• While showing my ancillary products, there is one audience saying “I really like the visual languages used in both design, you can clearly tell they are promoting the same artist and album” This shows how the design clearly make a link to each other and it is promoting our artist and his album effectively.

• This question allows me to know whether audience like my design and to see if they have a clear link, and most importantly if they promote our artist well.

Do you think people from other age group

would enjoy watching our music video,

such as the elderly?

• To find out whether my music video targets to the audience successfully and as well as finding out if it is a mainstream type of video, I have decided to ask a question that allows me to know if people from other age group would also enjoy it too.

• The audience who has taken this survey is at the age range of 16 –20. 70% of these audience felt that people from other age group would most likely to not be interested in watching our music video. There are couple of audience who have left a comment saying that the mise en scene choice is too teenage style, therefore older audience would find it boring to see a lifestyle of different age group.

• In conclusion, this survey have helped me to find out that my music video has successfully to target at teenagers and young adults and I have also found out that this is not a mainstream type of music video.

Do you think my products fit in the

house music genre well?• To find out whether my products are generic conventional, I have

asked a most simple yet effective question to gather a really important information.

• 85% of the audience felt that my products fit in the house music genre. 15% disagree because they think that our music video is not as generic convention when compared to our magazine design, 15% of the audience said that they would expect to see a more party and music festival scenes in our music video just like a typical house music video.

• After looking at their response, I think that our music video fits in the house music genre well. I do agree with the 15% of the audience because we did challenge the stereotype of house music a little about how it shows people having fun in parties and music festivals.

Did the magazine advert make you

feel interested in watching our music

video?• To find out whether the advert has successfully promote our artist

and catch the audience attention, I have came up with this question.

• 80% of the audience think they would be interested in watching our music video if they haven’t seen it before. Their comments are similar, they said that it’s because the magazine advert is eye catching and the design looks really professionally done which it has made them to feel interested in watching out music video.

• In conclusion, more than half of the audience think the magazine advert said yes, so therefore it has successfully promote our artist.
