What have you leant from your audience feedback?

What the audience feedback showed

We used a survey to compile our research. Once this was completed we then used the

website survey monkey to present this research on my our blogs. This was a simple but effective way in which to learn what we needed to include and do to create a successful piece of work.

Genre The genre in which we where working is thriller. For this to be successful we needed to effectively

create suspense and tension. To do this we used a slow build up to the murder. We do not show a full shot of the stalker/ killer. We see the victim gradually become more

destressed.

What people expect

Suspense Action A resolution, often violent A victim and a violent protagonist Some form of background information

How it was applied We slowly increased the victims desperation/ worry We created a chase scene in which our character was

chased by her stalker and eventually killed by them. We murdered the victim Our main character and her stalker where typical in

dress and location until the ending. We see background information in the woman writing

a story and realising what had happened.

What was successful? I believe that our tension building was successful. I think we used appropriate shots, angles and

costumes to create a realistic setting in the given location.

our actors portrayed the characters wanted successfully.

The editing we did fine tuned and polished the work we had done. We spent a lot of time on it and I think it worked out very well.

What went wrong? Some of our shots where harder to do so where not

done completely right or just didn’t fit into our time line smoothly.

We re shot some of the clips as they didn’t provoke the wanted thoughts from the audience.

Some of our costuming was not exactly what we wanted, particularly the murders hood as it had writing on the back.

At some points our narrative became slightly confusing. It rained on days of filming so had to be cancelled

What would I change I would refine the costumes used. I would maybe use a few other shots and angles that

may have worked better. I would ensure that the storyline was completely clear

all the time. I would maybe add more to the soundtrack to pad the

film just that little bit more. I would refine my poster slightly to fit in with the genre

conventions a little bit more.
