Story Behind this School

This school was built in 1970 as a temporary school and was designed to last only twenty years.

So, in 1990 it should have been demolished and rebuilt.

But now, in 2012, it is being renovated.

Let’s get on to the stages…

No Central Air Conditioning◦Over the years, there has been a couple air

conditioners added on to the building that mostly cool down rooms that don’t have windows.


Other parts of the building that are damaged.

These pictures show a general idea of what is going on now.

The ceiling tiles were removed during Christmas break. Since they are gone, it will be slightly colder in the hallways.


During the time period of the renovation, the equipment and trailers are going to be stored on the football field. It is still to be decided whether or not the football teams will be consolidated into one team next year.

Along with the cafeteria and the band room, there will be a server room where the old instrument storage room used to be. Also there will be an electrical room where the old weightroom used to be.


PHASE 2 – Kitchen and Storage(April 2012 – August 2012)


PHASE 3 – 8th Grade Hallway and Courtyard B (May 2012 – August 2012)

The new 8th grade hallway will be where rooms 127 and 128 are now. Also, Courtyard B will be between the 7th grade hallway and the 8th grade hallway. Also, there will be the new TV Studio where room 100 is now.

By the end of November 2013, this school will be complete.

How You Will Be Affected

On the first week of May, lunches will be moved into the front side of the gym.

Also in May, the classes in the back hallway will be moved into the auditorium.
