WELDING INSPECTION

Welding inspection is used to verify that welding has been performed in accordance with the appropriate welding procedure and that the result has produced a compliant weld

Welding inspection techniques include visual inspection, non-destructive and destructive testing as well as audits of the process

A defect is a condition of the weld that is out-with the boundaries of acceptability in relation to the particular standard
