GRADES & GRADE CONVERSION INFORMATION
Please know that you are beginning to establish your college transcript and your college career. Always do your best to take full advantage of your early start!
Only letter grades earned by high school students enrolled in Early College courses offered by Spartanburg Community College are reported to the high schools. Letter grades are then translated into numerical averages according to the South Carolina State Department of Education Uniform Grading Policy: A=96, B=88, C=80, D=73, F=61
SCC has a statewide articulation agreement with all the South Carolina State Colleges and Universities. Courses offered at SCC-Tyger River and Byrnes High School are standard university transfer courses.
SCC has a DIRECT CONNECT agreement with USC-Upstate. Any SCC student who graduates with an Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, Associate in Applied Science in Nursing, or Associate in Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Technology is guaranteed admission to USC-Upstate through this agreement.
Generally speaking, whether and how dual credit courses depends on your college and major of choice.
It is the responsibility of students and parents to check to ensure whether and how Early College courses transfer to the student’s college or university of choice.
Great tool for exploring transferability: www.SCTRAC.org.
How will my Early College course transfer to a 4 year college or university?
Come visit our SCC-central campus on Tuesday, April 19 from 4:00-7:00 pm to explore our 80+ certificate, diploma, and degree programs! A major focus on this evening will be our Health Sciences Programs.
