DESTINATION WEDDING CHECKLIST

6 –12 MONTHS BEFORE• Contact wedding coordinator to choose a wedding date

• Indicate if you would like a Symbolic or Legal ceremony (note: selecting a legal ceremony date may take longer as the coordinator will need to work with the judge’s schedule)

• Explore your wedding vision: ceremony/reception location, time of the day, estimated number of guests

• Select your wedding package

• Send deposit to coordinator to reserve your selected date

• Once deposit is received and processed, a formal confirmation of the email is sent (approximately one week after receipt of deposit)

• Coordinator will email forms, pictures and options

• Sign-up for your Honeymoon Registry

• Determine an estimated budget guideline

• Begin clarifying your wedding vision: theme, colors, little extras

• Work with the resort or travel agent to make guest reservations and secure a room block

• Be sure your have your passport and all documents needed; if you are plan-ning a legal wedding, the coordinator will be sure you know what the legal forms needed are

Indoor Beach View location, featuring stunning seashell curtains and chandeliers with a terrace overlooking the ocean. Open for private events from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Offers sit down dinner or buffet style service. $3,500 fee for private dinner receptions.

Culinaria Restaurant Max. 70

Seating up to 70 guests (depending on the set up), the Culinaria Restaurant is a contemporary space with décor made from recycled materials. Open for private events from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Offers sit down service.

Backup plan in case of inclement weather

We always have a backup plan to accommodate the ceremony in case of bad weather. During the interview, the wedding coordinator explains the process and, in the morning of the wedding day (early),the couple have a meeting with her in order to take a decision about the location. In this case, the backup location will be assigned according to the number of guests in the group, and the decoration.

Dinner Policies

Breathless Resorts offers various indoor and outdoor reception locations, throughout the resort to celebrate the wedding reception upon the wedding couple preference.

The Lucky Love Wedding Package includes the silver buffet or sit down dinner for 25 guests.

The Eat Drink & be Married Package includes the gold or platinum menu for 30 people. Extra fee may apply per additional person.

Beach and Outdoor Reception Max. 200

Round or square tables are set up that are able to accommodate up to 8 to 12 people per table. A beach buffet service will be provided for wedding groups of 25 guests or more people.

*In case of inclement weather, the outdoor Locations or Ballroom is available depending on the size of the group.

Ballroom Max. 500

Each of the individual meeting rooms are assigned according to the size of the Group and confirmed at arrival. Open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 am. Sit down dinner up to 100 people, Buffet style service from 25 people. The Ballroom has the capacity to accommodate private group functions, dinner and special occasions.


COCKTAIL HOUR MENU

Additional hours can be applied for $13 per person per hour + tax. This will include drinks and 3 cold canapes plus continued private service. Prices and menu subject to change

Breathless Punta Cana highly recommends that all additional decorations and/or favors be brought with the

couple on the plane. If it is necessary to ship boxes prior to the couples arrival, we suggest using either FEDEX

or UPS and shipping everything a month and a half in advance to ensure all boxes clear customs.

• Please be advised that food, animals, insects or natural flowers are not permitted to enter the Dominican

Republic.

• Label all boxes with your name and clearly specify the date you will be arriving. Breathless Punta Cana will

deliver gifts to the guest’s rooms. There will be a $3.00 USD. A complete list of all guests along with room

numbers is required.Once the boxes have been shipped, please send an e-mail to the wedding coordinator

with the following information to allow us to track the packages:

PAYMENT POLICY

Deposit Policy

A $100.00 deposit is required to confirm and hold the requested wedding date. This deposit can then be applied toward ceremony and/or reception upgrades which have been purchased in addition to the wedding package. If the wedding couple chooses not to purchase additional ceremony and/or reception amenities, the credit can then be applied toward any room charges upon check out, including but not limited to phone charges, spa treatments and logo shop purchases. Any remaining credit balance will be refunded in the form of the original payment.

Cancellation Policy

The wedding can be canceled six or more months prior to the confirmed date without penalties. If the wedding is canceled within six months, the non-refundable deposit will be kept as a penalty.

The property does not assume responsibility for any items, personal or professional, brought onto the resort prior to, during or after the wedding event. These include, but are not limited to, floral arrangements, decorations or equipment. The wedding couple is responsible for all non-resort guests while they are on property attending the event.


Civil Wedding

• Birth Certificate of Bride and Groom or certified copy of Birth certificate. If parents’ names are not shown on the certificates, please indicate them separately.

• Notarized Declaration of Single status for the Bride and Groom. If previously married, submit two copies of the Divorce Decree or Death Certificate. There is a mandatory waiting period for women, 10 months before they are legally allowed to remarry.

• A photocopy of Bride and Groom’s Passport (or documents used to enter the DR).

• Photocopies of all Witnesses Passports (cannot be family members). If necessary, resort will provide witnesses.

• Bride & Groom must be in the country 3 business days prior to the wedding. Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the wedding coordinator to discuss requirements.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Please note: The Dominican Republic is now a member of the La Hague Convention, please have your official documents apostilled by your Secretary of State Office. You can Also contact “Vitalcheck.com” to request apostilled Documents. All documents must be translated and legalized by the Dominican Consulate prior to arriving in the Dominican Republic, except for the Passports. The documents should be legalized by the Dominican Consulate no more than 3 months prior to the wedding date. It is the couple’s responsibility to have all the documentation ready prior to the wedding. The Judge is an outside service provided by the Dominican Government. We cannot be held responsible for any delay or alteration. The Judge will duly register your Wedding Certificate at the Central Civil Board and legalize it with the Foreign Affairs Department of the Dominican Republic. We will then send the Wedding Certificate to the couple via mail which may take up to 10-12 weeks. The Civil Wedding is celebrated in Spanish. If necessary, Breathless Punta Cana will provide English, French or German translators without an additional charge.

Documentation required by the Dominican Law in order to be legally married in the Dominican Republic.
