It begins with Palm Sunday when Jesus entered Jerusalem, continues with Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, & Holy Wednesday & ends with the Triduum - Holy Thursday, Good Friday & Holy Saturday. Easter Sunday is the day to celebrate Jesus rises from the dead & returns to Earth for 40 days. During Lent people often give up something they enjoy.
