Born in Poland, he lived in Greenpoint over 40 years and was self employed as a machinist.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; a son, Walter, of Buffalo, N. Y.,. another son,' Bruno, died in Dec., 1962, and three grandchildren.
A requiem mass was offered at 9:30 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church Wednesday and burial was in St. John's Cemetery under the direction of the Stobierski Funeral Home.

St. Anthony's (Graduates Win Top Honors The commencement ex
ercises of St. Anthony of Padua Parochial School took place in the auditorium of the school on Leonard street, on June 20. The Rev. Thomas A. Sheerin, pastor, presided.
Carol Anne Tresca gave the salutatory. Presentation of diplomas and awarding of graduation honors were made by the Rev. Thomas A. Sheerin pastor. James Preston was the valedictorian of the class.
Congratulations and best wishes were given by Father Sheerin who also celebrated the 9 A.M. mas that morning and gave a splendid talk both at the mass and the graduation exercises. The Blessing of St. Francis was given the graduates.

The post announced that meetings have been suspended for the summer. However, the post will be open every evening to serve the veterans and widows in need of G. I. Benefits.
All veterans are invited to visit the post headquarters any evening to secure the information needed for pensions, G. I. claims, hospitalization, child welfare, compensation, and widow and orphan benefits.
Ex-ILA CHIEF DEAD Joseph P. Ryan. 79, former
president of the International Longshoremen's Association, died yesterday in his home. Ryan, who had been ill for several months, quit as head of the union in 1953 when it was under fire for racketeering influance. Ryan
was elceter president of the union in 1927.
