At Endeavor Puerto Rico, we believe that high impact entrepreneurs are key in making up the fabric of what Puerto Rico will become.

José Stella,CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Undoubtedly, Puerto Rico has been at the epicenter of great
challenges and changes that have highlighted the importance of
a solid, structured entrepreneurship ecosystem that provides real
international growth opportunities to those who decide to become
entrepreneurs. Three years after launching Endeavor in Puerto Rico,
with a model proven for more than 20 years in over 30 markets,
we have managed to integrate more than 20 entrepreneurs into
a global movement of connections and knowledge that will allow
them to scale their businesses to the next level.
But, above all, we are confident that the work we have been doing
is also crucial so that they can leave an important mark in Puerto
Rico in terms of economic indicators: generate new investment,
create jobs, develop innovative products and services, move
capital for investments, thus setting the standard for an economy
of the future. We are ready to continue growing our community,
creating alliances and opening paths for these high impact
entrepreneurs and to help Puerto Rico return to a role of leadership
in the Caribbean region and in the world.
A letter from our Chairman of the Board

Pioneering a Vision to Embrace Entrepreneurship
Jason Borschow founded Abarca, a pharmacy benefit management and
technology company, to improve how people receive their prescription
medications with the goal of making healthcare awesome. The company has
a powerfully positive corporate culture that, among other values, encourages
employees to go all-in and find a better way to deliver clients and consumers
with a superior experience, lower costs, and better health. This vision led
Jason to become Puerto Rico’s first Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2018. Since
Jason joined Endeavor, the company has continued to make its mark on the US
healthcare industry with its advanced technology platform, innovative clinical
solutions, and transparent, straightforward approach to business.
Mentoring and coaching through Endeavor helped Jason become a better
leader and, in turn, was instrumental in Abarca’s success. For example, as
the company has attracted new clients and partners, Abarca has quickly
and smoothly scaled its operations, technology, and workforce to meet
increasing demand. The company has also entered innovative contracts with
pharmaceutical companies; developed new clinical programs; launched Puerto
Rico’s first app-based Rx home delivery service during COVID; and engaged
the team in a dialogue on equity and inclusion. And Abarca isn’t slowing
down. The company recently invested $10 million to build a new corporate
headquarters, including the purchase of a 12-story building in the heart of San
Juan. The campus will feature outdoor areas, collaborative workspaces, and
partnerships with other local businesses, and continue to foster a team that
works together like family — just in time to celebrate Abarca’s 15th anniversary.

Carlos Garcia is an entrepreneur with a track record of building successful and innovative companies at the intersection of technology and travel. His latest and most ambitious endeavor, Trip Ventures, is building and funding the new layer of tech for the travel and hospitality industry in the post-COVID era. Under his leadership, the venture studio is building innovative companies like Andiago which teamed up with the Forbes Travel Guide to recommend and book restaurants in 62 countries. Andiago’s AI analyzes every restaurant to help consumers decide where to go. Carlos founded HYP3R in 2015 which quickly became a leader in location-based marketing for the travel industry. Fast Company named HYP3R one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies two years in a row. HYP3R is now positioned to help the travel and hospitality industry rise again through its innovative traveler acquisition platform. In his early years as an entrepreneur, Carlos founded Nobox, a social marketing agency acquired in 2015, and Scrapblog, an online scrapbooking service acquired in 2011. Carlos holds two issued patents on location resolution of social media activity and ranking places based on geo-spatial activity.
Some people have a talent for making money but only a few are capable of creating value. At it’s best, entrepreneurship is about seizing the opportunity to create lasting value that can transform entire industries and improve lives.
Connect Assistance was founded in 2011 by longtime friends and Wharton Business School graduates Antonio Ortíz and Carlos Nieves, who sought to capitalize on a personal subpar experience in the roadside and home assistance services segments by creating a differentiated and customer-centric solution. Through accessible service plans, Connect offers roadside assistance for cars and motorcycles, focusing on speed, agility, safety, and personalized service. With its home assistance offering, Connect becomes that ally that helps solve all the unexpected situations that arise every day. By means of Helios, an advanced and patented technology platform, and with an efficient operation, Connect can dispatch about 350 services per agent compared to the average of 150 in traditional call centers, resulting in over 1.1MM active users and over 33,000 monthly services through their operations in Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia and, of course, Puerto Rico. Going forward, Antonio and Carlos share a vision to continue growing by expanding their services, conquering new markets, and multiplying how they impact their respective economies.

Puerto Rico’s first-ever selected Endeavor Entrepreneur and
now board member, was invited to attend a week-long Scaling
Entrepreneurial Ventures program at Harvard Business School in
the Spring of 2019. To be eligible, attendees have to possess a full
understanding of Endeavor’s model and be able to demonstrate an
inflection point in their career, and cleverly describe their desire
to participate in the program, which is exclusively designed for
Endeavor Entrepreneurs and their C-Suite teams. Harvard Business
School faculty members led interactive workshops centered
around four themes: strategy, sales & marketing, leadership and
finance, all keen to successfully scale up businesses. As an added
value that makes evident Endeavor’s impact on the company, its
Chief Operating Officer, Adriana Ramírez, also joined the program.

Wovenware is an AI and software development technology consulting firm that follows a human-centric approach to engineering innovative customized solutions for organizations undergoing digital and business transformations. Its Co-Founders, Christian González and Carlos Meléndez, got a pass at a Virtual Regional Selection Panel held in June of 2020 in collaboration with other US offices. In order to support their journey towards the final step of the Selection Process, Endeavor Puerto Rico launched the program ‘Road to an ISP,’ a six to nine month coordinated mentorship plan with the collaboration of a strategic mentor. In this case, Bertil Chappuis, Partner at McKinsey Palo Alto accepted to lead these efforts framing a holistic analysis of Wovenware’s business and scaling opportunities to be addressed at monthly sessions focused on topics such as: TAM opportunities, go-to market playbook and strategies, organizational structures and capital scenarios, as well as the Co-Founders’ individual entrepreneurial needs as leaders of Wovenware.
Road to an International Selection Panel
WOVENWARE Antonio Ortiz and Carlos Nieves, co-founders of Connect Assistance,
accepted to undergo Endeavor’s selection process in early 2020
despite the unprecedented pandemic reality we were all facing and
the challenges they were dealing with as founders. Their selection
process was fully virtual, distinguished by interactions with many
international mentors such as Sergio Furio, Founder of Creditas
and Gonzalo Begazo, Co-Founder of Chatzki (both distinguished
Endeavor Entrepreneurs from Brazil and Perú respectively) and top-
level market entry connections in both Chile and Argentina. With
a partnership with Endeavor Perú to co-host a Regional Selection
Panel with experts from LatAm, Antonio and Carlos were unanimously
selected by a group of world class mentors to continue their selection
journey to an International Selection Panel. This last step of our
rigorous methodology was held in October 2020 and was moderated
by Endeavor’s Co-Founder & CEO, Linda Rottenberg. The selection
panel was composed by a number of successful global entrepreneurs
including Founder & Chairman of Viva Real - Brian Requarth from Brazil,
Head of Google for Startups US - Jewel Burks Solomon & renown
author and Partner at Bain & Company’s - Chris Zook, amongst others.
This successful journey resulted in Antonio and Carlos being welcomed
as Endeavor Entrepreneurs from Puerto Rico, ready to conquer LatAm.

LOOKING AHEAD
As we look back and review our first three years in operation, we can’t help but
feel encouraged to continue moving forward, by strengthening our movement
to help more entrepreneurs innovate, grow and create a mark on the global
stage. From accolades, to new appointments of Endeavor Entrepreneurs in
prestigious organizations, to an impressive $1M raised from local investors to
Endeavor Catalyst fund, the team is just getting started in boosting that long
list of accomplishments with cross-border outcomes such as:
Semillero Partners co-founder and Endeavor Puerto Rico mentor, Gualberto Rodríguez is now part of the HJI Supply Chain Solutions advisory board, a leading logistics service provider in Louisville, KY, demonstrating that Endeavor also helps expand the influence of its stakeholders through the entire network.
With the intention of positioning Puerto Rico as a thriving hub for raising capital, Endeavor PR has fostered over 8 Latam company introductions between entrepreneurs from other markets and PR investors. These resulted in Puerto Rican fund , Semillero Partners investing in Latin America’s largest cloud-restaurant company from Colombia, Robin Food.
The Endeavor Puerto Rico team served as partner in the Rise of the Rest Tour in 2019, thanks to the relationship built by Endeavor with Steve Case, the AOL Co-Founder, and Founder of the Revolution Fund.
Rise of the Rest was also the vehicle for two Endeavor candidates, Lauren Cascio and Dolmarie Méndez, Co-Founders of Abartys Health, to obtain a $100K investment from the Revolution Fund, as winners of their pitch
competition in Puerto Rico.
We invite you to stay connected with us, donate and help Endeavor Puerto
Rico boost our mission to generate an impact that is felt beyond our borders.
Our mission is fulfilled thanks to ourcurrent and former supporters.

A letter from our Founding Managing Director
There is no better time for entrepreneurship than now. These are
times of collaboration and bonding to promote Endeavor as a trusted
community, a safe space where entrepreneurs can connect, learn
and be inspired to think big. But, above all, to feel free to develop
business ideas to generate an impact that can be felt beyond the
shores of our island. It is about capitalizing on the possibility of
being part of a global team, a diverse international family made up
of over 2,100 innovative minds, people who challenge limits, with
a presence in 40 markets and who also understand the value and
magic of that union and collaboration to reach new horizons.
As the leader of this organization in Puerto Rico, I am honored to
be part of a dedicated and committed group of professionals, a
first-class team, who in conjunction with all our collaborators and
entrepreneurs have accepted the challenge of thinking big, not only
for their respective projects, but for Puerto Rico. A special thanks to
our entire Board of Directors and its president, José Stella, for the
countless hours they have dedicated to making Endeavor Puerto
Rico a model of collaboration that should be emulated.
“Endeavor always pushes us to have a greater impact, to think outside the box, and to not be limited by what we know or who we are today.”
