American Institute of Indian Studies Junior Research FellowshipsJuly 1, 2017Research fellowships to enable doctoral candidates to pursue their dissertation research in India.

Wolf Trap Internships July 1, 2017Spring, Summer, and Fall internships available to foster the next generation of arts leaders. 12-week program with flexible start and end dates in Washington, DC.

National Museum of the American Indian Internship ProgramJuly 12, 2017Internships are provided for students interested in the museum profession and related fields. Locations are in Maryland, Washington D.C. or New York for a duration of 10 weeks.

Smithsonian Institution—STRI Short-Term Fellowship ProgramJuly 15, 2017Provides support for graduate students and introduces them to tropical research. These fellowships enable selected candidates to work in the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and explore research possibilities at STRI.

American Society for Theater Research Awards

Thomas Marshall Graduate Student Award July 15, 2017 Designed to encourage students to become active members of ASTR by helping them meet the expenses of attending the ASTR annual meeting.

Helen Krich Chinoy Dissertation Fellowship July 15, 2017 The total award amount of $3000 is typically divided into three equal awards. It is intended to assist Ph.D. candidates with the expenses of travel to national and international collections to conduct research projects connected with their dissertations.

Americans for the Arts—Internship Opportunities July 17, 2017The Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to investigate and participate in the operations of the nation’s leading nonprofit for advancing the arts in America. Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer Internships are available.

Neotropocal Grassland Conservancy (NGC) Student Grant ProgramAugust 1, 2017The foundation’s mission is promoting the conservation of savannas, gallery forests, wetlands, and associated ecosystems in Central and South America. Graduate student research projects are often hindered by lack of funds for basic needs such as transportation, lodging, meals and consumable field supplies. This program addresses those needs. Open to Latin American students enrolled in a M.S. or Ph.D. program in a US or South American university.

University Research Association Visiting Scholars ProgramAugust 28, 2017Funding for visits to work at Fermilab for up to one year. Support provided by the program may include travel and local lodging expenses during a series of short visits or salary support and round trip travel expenses for an extended visit.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation USArtists International GrantsSeptember 7, 2017Funding for American artists to perform at important cultural festivals and art marketplaces around the globe.

Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program September 8, 2017Spend 12 weeks at the National Academies in Washington, DC, learning about science and technology policy and the role that scientists and engineers play in advising the nation. Applicants become part of a National Academies committee, board, or unit where they are assigned to a mentor and learn about the world of science and technology policy.

German Chancellor Fellowship for Prospective LeadersSeptember 15, 2017Conduct independent projects at a host institution in Germany for one year, network with other prospective leaders from abroad and explore new solutions to the global issues of our times.

Women Chemists Committee/Eli Lilly Travel AwardsSeptember 15, 2017Need-based grants offered to graduate and postdoctoral women chemists to travel and present the results of their research at scientific meetings.

Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation Research Travel Grants September 15, 2017Grants up to $2,200 in support of research in the holdings of the Gerald R. Ford Library. The grant may be used to defray travel costs and living expenses.

Such principles include recognition of human dignity, the importance of the rule of law, limited government, religious liberty, and freedom in economic life.

Kushlan Research Award July 15, 2017 The goal of the Kushlan Research Award in Ciconiiform Biology and Conservation is to encourage significant scientific advances in the biology, ecology, or conservation biology of wading birds (i.e. herons, storks, ibises, and their taxonomic allies).

Nisbet Research Award July 15, 2017 This grant is open globally to any student, professional, or amateur and should focus on those interested in research and conservation on terns and gulls.

Internships with the Middle East Program July 15, 2017The Program concentrates on long-term developments and how such issues impact stability and growth in the region and its relations with the United States. The Middle East Program’s meetings, conferences and reports assess the policy implications of regional developments (political, economic, and social), the Middle East’s role in the international arena, American interests in the region, strategic threats to and from the regional states, and the role and future prospects of the region’s energy resources.

One of the major initiatives of the AHIMA Foundation is to attract and support new talent in the HIM industry by improving educational opportunities for current and future HIM professionals through scholarships.

Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Program for Continuing EducationDeadline: 3-4 months prior to the start of the term for which the grant is requestedOne-time need based grants to women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada for use in completing a degree or certification necessary for improving or gaining skills leading to employment.

Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation GrantPrestigious grant for emerging figurative artists. Applicants must be in the early stage of their career, work in a representational style of painting, drawing, sculpting or printmaking and demonstrate a commitment to making their art a lifetime career.
