    University Research Association Visiting Scholars Program August 29, 2016 Funding for visits to work at Fermilab for up to one year. Supports work in high energy physics, astrophysics, theory, accelerator physics, materials science, and computer science.

    Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation USArtists International Grants September 4, 2016 Funding for American artists to perform at important cultural festivals and art marketplaces around the globe.

    Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program September 6, 2016 Spend 12 weeks in winter/spring at the National Academies in Washington, DC, learning about science and technology policy and the role that scientists and engineers play in advising the nation. Applicants become part of a National Academies committee, board, or unit where they are assigned to a mentor and learn about the world of science and technology policy.

    Women Chemists Committee/Eli Lilly Travel Awards September 15, 2016 Need-based grants offered to graduate and postdoctoral women chemists to travel and present the results of their research at scientific meetings.

    Humboldt Foundation German Chancellor Fellowship for Prospective Leaders September 15, 2016 Conduct independent projects in a broad range of fields such as politics, public administration, and business, as well as society and culture, at a host institution in Germany for one year, network with other prospective leaders from abroad and explore new solutions to the global issues of our times.

    Harry S. Truman Library Research Grant October 1, 2016 Research Grants of up to $2,500 are awarded twice annually to offset the cost of conducting research at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.

    The Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations Dissertation Research Grants October 1, 2016

    W. Stull Holt Dissertation Fellowship: Fellowship intended to defray the costs of travel necessary to conduct research on a significant dissertation project for students whose dissertation deals with some aspect of U.S. foreign relations history. Applicants for this award will be considered automatically for the Stuart L. Bernath, Gelfand-Rappaport-LaFeber, and Bemis grants.

    Lawrence Gelfand – Armin Rappaport – Walter LeFeber Dissertation Fellowship: Fellowship intended to defray the costs of dissertation research travel for students actively working on dissertations dealing with some aspect of U.S. foreign relations history. Applicants for this award will be considered automatically for the Stuart L. Bernath, Holt, and Bemis grants.

    Samuel Flagg Bemis Dissertation Research Grant: Fellowship to help defray the costs of domestic or international travel necessary to conduct research on significant scholarly projects for students actively working on dissertations dealing with some aspect of U.S. foreign relations history. Applicants for this award will be considered automatically for the Stuart L. Bernath, Holt, and Gelfand-Rappaport-LaFeber grants.

    Fulbright U.S. Student Program Awards Campus deadlines: September 7 & 8, 2016 National Application deadline: October 11, 2016 The Fulbright U.S. Student Program sponsored by the U.S. State Department offers research, study, and teaching opportunities in over 140 countires to recent graduates and graduate students. All fields of study are acceptable unless otherwise indicated in a country’s listing.

    Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program October 23, 2016 (anticipated) Summer internships for STEM students to participate in research at a Department of Navy laboratory.

    Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Student Travel Awards Deadline: Seven months before the first day of the conference for which support is requested Travel awards to help students attend and present at SIAM conferences.
