Upcoming day works for North East LinkRoad reinstatement works on Greensborough Road in Greensborough

Works are continuing to move utility services to provide space for North East Link. This is ahead of major construction starting in late 2021.

Following recent works to relocate electrical and telecommunication services on Greensborough Road, we will be reinstating affected sections of the roadway.

This will require temporarily closing Greensborough Road between Santon and Teresa streets along with the southbound bicycle lane.

What we'll be doingPermanent road reinstatement works

We will restore the road surface between 498 and 502 Greensborough Road, and the southbound bicycle lane between Santon and Doris streets.

This will involve:

• Occupying sections of Greensborough Road with designated work areas

• Removing temporary road reinstatement materials

• Laying permanent asphalt pavement

• Installing road surface markings.

Traffic management

We use traffic management when working near roadways to safely guide vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians through the area. These temporary measures are put in place to protect workers and the community.

This will involve:

• Greensborough Road closed between Santon and Teresa streets with a local detour route during works between 498 and 502 Greensborough Road

• Teresa and Doris streets closed at Greensborough Road during works in the southbound bicycle lane

• Southbound bicycle lane closed between Santon and Doris streets.

When and where we'll be workingWe will be working on Greensborough Road between Santon and Doris streets from Wednesday 28 July to Friday 30 July.

Working hours are 7am to 6pm, with traffic management set up from 6:30am.

Please note dates and times are subject to change.

What this means for youWe will contact properties near work areas in advance to provide further information about planned disruptions.

During works you may notice:

• Work crews and construction vehicles

• Noise from machinery and equipment

• Traffic management equipment, signage, and personnel

• Restricted driveway access and on-street vehicle parking near work areas.
