Tshivhase Midiyavhathu The Conqueror of the People
The Lion of the South
It is trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am
foremost of all (1 Timothy 1:15)
And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name
under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be
saved (Acts 4:12)
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to
save that which was lost (Luke 19:10)
Am I a dog, that you can to me with sticks
(1 Samuel 17:43)
I am the Alpha and the Omega
(Rev. 1:8)

Introduction
Some people inspire us instantly we see, hear or think about them. Hearing their
names motivates us to soldier forward with great gusto. But not all people have the
ability to revive our being. There are many who simply add nothing to our wellbeing.
Seeing or hearing them makes us unconvinced. Some dispirit us the moment their
names are called. Since they have no positive attribution towards the longevity of our
gladness they do not act as a good diplomat. As such, they do not to enlighten us.
When coming to Jesus we have a different story to tell altogether. When His name
rings in our ears, we can quickly abandon everything we are doing in order to follow
Him. This is because His name is the roadmap towards our salvation. Even if we
have to spend many years doing His work we become greatly empowered. Jesus
occupies a special place in our hearts. His prime position of being the Saviour of the
World is the pillar in taking us from being reprobates to being overcomers. In order to
consolidate His generosity, The Most High presents a song of praise to Him. Why?
Because Lawrence does not have to praise man. He does not praise toxic people.
The only time he stands up is to praise Him who has done unparalleled favours in his
valuable life.
Song of praise to the Saviour
Here is the Venda version of praise and further explanation:
Ndi tshi vhona muphulusi (When I see the Saviour)
The name of Jesus is above all names. Seeing Jesus is different from seeing
ordinary people. The revelation of His name makes us come alive. This is
fundamentally based on all the sacrifices He has made to save us from lots of
corruption. Through His landmark victory He has seized the keys, making Satan the
weakest antagonist. Due to this, Jesus’ perpetual commitment to our lives has been
the pillar of strength to revert us back on the path of purity. Understanding spiritual
philosophy at the highest level makes Jesus the Prince among Princes. Therefore,

seeing or hearing His name is what we need on a continual basis. The power of His
name can saturate us with joy on the inside -- even through our worst trials.
A tshi fa tshifhambanoni (When He died at the Cross)
The fact that Jesus died at the cross to save the world made Him the King of Kings.
Dying on the cross revealed the state of His indomitability. Since then, His crucifixion
has become the greatest spiritual victory. This is because a lot was gained at the
time. Although His haters assumed they were cancelling Him forever their thoughts
were totally misjudged. God had a very different version because He sent His son to
save the world. The death of Jesus is most talked-about because many things were
concluded. It was not just the death without any victory but it was the death that
changed the world. Due to what had transpired two thousand years ago we are still
accruing multiple benefits until now. Because His kingdom endures forever nothing
will replace what Jesus had achieved. We only have to benefit from the favour that
He did on our behalf.
Ndi a laṱa zwa shangoni (I forget things of the flesh)
Our judicious knowledge of Jesus demands that we forget about the things of the
world. Even when we are tempted we should strive to overcome darkness. Our
conducts should speak millions of words in this regard. We say so because some of
those who were saved are still going astray. They persist to go after the syrupy cup
presented to them by Satan. This is because real transformation originates from our
inner part before it can spread outward. There are drawbacks of failing to
permanently eradicate dull thoughts. Although we may claim to know Jesus we can
fail to topple giant mountains. In order to forget the things of the flesh we must be
willing to transform our minds.
U ḓi hudza na vhutshinyi (Pride and wickedness)
Some people are serious about their commitment to Jesus. As a result, they relieve
themselves from smugness. We must humble ourselves before God in order to come
closer to Him. Pride grounded on selfish ends cannot be tolerated. We have seen

Page3425
egoistic people going to Jesus. They are rebuked because pride is the enemy of
righteousness. Anyone who seeks to use pride to gain more admiration from Jesus
is indeed a lost sheep. With the Lord pride is a sign of sin. Also, wickedness should
be the thing of the past if we are serious about our change. We cannot say we know
the Lord while we persist to sink back to our former ways. Therefore, the full
knowledge and admiration of Jesus reminds us to overcome pride as well as acts of
wickedness. Our complete obedience would mean we are walking on the right
pathway.
Ndi nga si tsha tama tshithu (I will no longer desire anything)
When we are serious about our commitment to Jesus we no longer desire things of
the flesh. The things that previously separated us from the Lord become our
subsequent enemies. We can therefore reveal our seriousness regarding our
obligation to the Lord. Today there are people who say they know Him but they do
not follow His commandments. When they desire the things of the flesh they are
quick to invade the hell asking for more. Lawrence used to do that. This has been
the greatest challenge for many. Because they cannot control their inconsistent
feelings they typically face recurring challenges. We are not surprised to even hear
that the top leadership of religions are being implicated for wrongdoings. What, then,
shall we say in response to this? Ntsa ya la muṋawa a i humi.
Tsho fhambanaho na yesu (Apart from Jesus)
When we know what Jesus has done for us we will always seek him. Even when
people forsake us it does not make any difference. Their stay has no positive
influence compared to the presence of Jesus. The Most High followed Jesus when
there was no one. Those who left him were never persuaded to come back. They
chickened out but no one asked them to come back. The Most High knew that Jesus
was the only solution. Spiritual understanding about who matters most in our lives
can empower us to walk in the light. Due to our wisdom, we will never follow those
who can do little to help us to redeem our souls. Asking others to emulate the stance
of The Most High is fundamental. By the time their eyes are opened they can make

good decisions. Such decisions will prioritise Jesus ahead of those who change like
chameleons. One day they look reddish the next day they look brownish. Therefore,
people wearing incompatible colours are very difficult to carry because they are
defective.
Zwine ene a zwi funa (Whatever he likes)
It is very important to distinguish what Jesus wants from us. Our gross diversion from
His decent ways allows us to be expedient about turning the page. Inappropriate
deeds should always enlighten us to right the decay on the inside. By virtue of His
grace we do not need to disappoint. Perfect understanding about what Jesus wants
therefore is an empowerment in itself. Paying reference to the ten commandments is
of unparalleled importance. Some of the commandments that please the Lord are
stipulated. The first one is “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And
the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-40). Adhering
to these coherent commandments among others is what Jesus always anticipates
from His people. But the proliferation of wicked ways that govern the unsaved world
is an infidelity to His word.
Nṋe-vho ndi a muṋekedza (I will give Him)
This shows that we must be fully prepared to give Jesus all He seeks from us.
Submission to His word is the best prescription. Through His Word all things are
possible to those who believe. Paying high regard to the Word of God should
therefore be our primary priority in order to see optimistic things happening in our
lives. This enables us to be patient while growing in the knowledge of God. The first
step towards gaining our deeper understanding is to unfasten the chain of darkness
by relating profoundly with the word of God. Our success in this area would mean
that we have matured.

Vhonani ha ṱhoho yawe (Look at His head)
Jesus was crucified at the cross. The state of His body was in bad shape. This was
due to the mistreatment He was confronted with. He was terribly beaten up before
being executed. They even laughed at Him. A lot of saddening things were executed
out against Him. When looking at His head it was a painful thing to confess due to
the degree of His misery. The suffering He experienced from His persecutors was
therefore in line with what was to be gain after His death. Interrogating His situation
at the time always makes us relate to Him. We do not have to be disordered about
where we belong.
Zwanḓa zwawe na milenzhe (His hands and feet)
Jesus was painfully executed. His persecutors nailed His hands and feet to the
cross. Some people who saw Him for the last time were in great stress. Despite
them wanting Him to be saved they had no power over His cold-hearted oppressors.
The only thing was to see His hands and legs being nailed in front of their eyes. It
was indeed a very painful experience, especially to His mother Mary. The person
who was willing to face death of this magnitude therefore was indeed bold. If many of
you are called upon to deliver the same victory, you will eventually run out of steam.
However, Jesus He was solid about what was to be achieved. Because of this, we
will never forget the favour He did to save our lives. His persecution was indeed a
premier remedy to empower us in overcoming the forces of evil. Even when we face
the worst conditions, Jesus has the keys to liberate us, while our foes are screaming
like bears.
Vho mu vhambela kha thanda (They fastened Him on the pole)
The cross is a symbol of great spiritual triumph. It provides us with the truth about
where our salvation comes from. Without the cross we cannot reclaim the keys from
Satan. The legacy of what had transpired at the cross is therefore eternal. Even
when we walk through the valley of death, the cross has all the power to nullify
frivolous weapons from the devil and his parishioners. Like The Most High, he was
able to revert back to normal ways (due to the accessibility of the cross). With cross,
Devil Destroyer, Volume 303, 3422-3433, 03 August 2017
Page3428
no weapon forged against him had prospered. Even today his antagonists find
themselves wanting. All their evil plans have been nullified by the power of the cross.
Since Jesus suffered at the cross we are favoured. Though He was crucified His
glory is everlasting.
E na vhuṱungu vhuhulu (He was in great pain)
Even though Jesus was ordained to save the world from its sins it did not mean He
was not going to feel the pain. In other words, the pain He suffered was part and
parcel of His persecution. If a person wants to achieve big things in life He must be
willing to go through a tormenting experience. Jesus knew this principle from the
beginning. Because of His desire to save the world, the experience of pain was a
non-issue. What was at stake was more than the pain He felt on the cross. Therefore
pain cannot misplace our destiny. If pain has to come to us in the form of anything
that made in hell, we say “let it come”. Since ours is the everlasting kingdom, pain is
not something that instil fears in us. Why? Because Jesus took the keys two
thousand years ago.
Ndi nga isa mini khae (What can I offer Him)
Sometimes we want to reward those who had suffered. With Jesus, we do not have
to pay Him anything. His commitment to our lives was never intended to gain any
reward. The only way to pay Him is to bow down to His Word. But under the rule of
Satan, people wish to be rewarded with all sort of things including positions. Some
end up chasing things that were never theirs. Due to eagerness to hijack things we
will continue to see people go afield. The only thing they misapprehend is that God
wants us to do things without personal ambition. For example, Lawrence had never
asked God anything from the beginning. Throughout his life he remained a humble
person. However, what God promised Him, is non-negotiable. His enemies can jump
thousand times but God is not intimidated.

Page3429
Tshi konaho u mu renda (The one that will honour Him)
This advocates the need to give Jesus what He wants most from us. This is because
we cannot please Him by pursuing the things of darkness. Our wealth and position
among other things have no power to delight the Lord. Today we find people missing
the point. They want to present things that the Lord does not value. We have to
understand what is of primary importance in the eyes of the Lord. Our capability to
discover the genuine truth will help us to relate to Him in line with His glorious
prospects.
A thina tsha fanelaho (I have nothing suitable to give him)
We have searched all over the place but found nothing that is good enough to please
the Lord. Nothing stemming from this unsaved world can please the Lord. In this
way, people can accumulate all the material things but still fail to come closer to the
Lord. If their deeds are evil they will remain isolated. Therefore, there is nothing that
we can give the Lord without deeply scrutinising our unbecoming deeds. The manner
in which we behave has a long-lasting relationship with the Lord. Consequently, we
have to be dedicated to His word. Without fully exploiting His word we remain utterly
weak.
Ndi do mu ṋekedza mbilu (I can only give Him my heart)
The only thing that we can give the Lord is our hearts. The truth is that our hearts
supersede everything. Since God looks at our hearts we can only please Him if we
surrender our hearts to Him. Our ability to surrender our hearts means that we are
no longer trapped in the place of darkness. The Most High was able to see the light.
Though he spent many years carrying a soiled heart he knew where his spiritual
home was. He did not worry about the state of his heart because he knew Jesus has
the power to renew it. When the Lord said, “Lawrence, where are you?” Lawrence
realised that he was actually surrounded by darkness. His ability to discover where
he was, in fact helped him to retreat. His immediate action was to look at the state of
his heart. Because he was honest he managed to see the deep rot on the inside. In
order to renew his life, Lawrence surrendered his heart to the Lord. Today Lawrence

is working hard to destroy all the things that corrupted his soul. This process is still
carrying him through thin and thick of things.
Mandela refused
When Mr Mandela (the second goliath) was told to stop worshipping Satan he did
not surrender his heart to the Lord. The cup from Satan was too sweet for him to
think rationally. Because of his obduracy he went into a heavy spiritual skirmish on
behalf of Satan. He wanted to crook The Most High’s blessing. Hu si halwo lukunda
alu kokomedzwi lwa kokomedzwa lu a ṱhara. Because his heart was not saved, he
walked in darkness. As a result, he was terribly defeated by a small boy. In other
words, God sent the most sophisticated human being on earth to destroy heart of
deception. After his success, he confessed the body of a spiritual lightweight. What
The Most High failed to do after that is lamentable. When he went to the Union
buildings he was supposed to cut off Mr Mandela’s head with a double-edged sword
to show people the skull of the fallen enchantress he had completely destroyed.
Lawrence was supposed to cut off the head and move all over Pretoria including
places like Hatfield; Sunnyside; Brooklyn; Menlyn; Mamelodi; Soshanguve;
Mabopane; Hammanskraal; Centurion and Atteridgeville among other sites – to
show people his prime spiritual success. Thereafter, he should have left the head of
Mr Mandela at Church Square in Pretoria for viewing. Or maybe he should have
thrown the head of Mr Mandela into the lions’ den at Pretoria zoo (known as National
Zoological Gardens of South Africa). Therefore, if you refuse to submit to the Lord,
troubles will follow you. When you have a devil-like heart, your opponents will cut
your head.
Conclusion
Ndi tshi vhona muphulusi reminds us what Jesus has done for us. The struggle He
went through to save us has been sufficiently discussed. The purpose is to remind
us that we must not let Him down. Even when we mess up our lives Jesus still has
the solution to renew our hearts. The Most High was aware of the primary benefit
accruing from the cross. When his enemies tried to manipulate him, The Most High
Devil Destroyer, Volume 303, 3422-3433, 03 August 2017
Page3431
quickly leaned on the Lord. Without the Lord, they were going to finish him off. But
because he knew the power of the cross he chased them away. When The Most
High fought them by means of the cross some of his enemies said he was crazy.
Actually, those who were crazy were those who were against him. Today there is no
peace in the kingdom of darkness. What we are seeing now are endless infightings
among them. Why? Because where there is no presence of God, there is no solution
to the burning issues.
We say: “Wake up you sleeping children”. We remind those who have surrendered
their hearts to the darkness to know that there is an open door that no devil can shut.
Due to the power of the cross all our debaucheries are permanently removed. Doing
so means we must be willing to surrender our hearts. From time to time we see
enlightened people renewing their lives. When they get closer to the Lord they
become more inspiring. This is what we also want you to do. With Jesus on your side
you can never go wrong. Even when countless enemies surround you, you will have
more dominion over them because they walk in the dark. In the case of The Most
High, he managed to defeat the millions because Jesus was ahead of him. The
giants who were against him were many. They came at him in one direction but they
hurriedly retreated from him in seven directions.
Above all, we salute people who look after their hearts. Because they know God they
will never behave like Mr Mandela. His refusal to bow down to the Lord came at a
hefty price. We therefore remind people to live as the light of the world. At no time
must they seek favours from hell while embarrassing God. We say so because the
disobedient have to be severely punished. There are many ways through which
recalcitrant people are dealt with. One of them is to send merciless officials. When
they come against you there is no chance that you will win. Although Mr Mandela
had won against the apartheid regime his winning trajectory eventually came to a
complete standstill. The final punch led to Mr Mandela being sent into a blistering
furnace. When The Most High was sent into the furnace, he was not consumed. The

angels of the Lord shielded him. The same deliverance cannot be said about the
fallen one.
But now has been revealed by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who
abolished death and brought life and immorality to light through the gospel
