Whether relocating an individual executive or a whole family to Russia, obtaining a Work Permit and appropriate Visa is an essential first step. Ever-changing legislation makes the application process more time-consuming and fraught with potential delays.

Troika Relocations’ Operations Department manages each step of the Work Permit and Visa procurement process, and ensures timely registration with the relevant authorities in Russia as well as regular progress reports as and when required.

Visas & Work Permits

The process in brief:

• Obtain Employment Permit for the company• Obtain Work Permit for the expatriate• Obtain Work Visa for expatriate and supporting visas for family• Process registration with the Federal Migration Service• Provide regular reports to company and client• Monitor documents’ expiry dates and renew on time

Many companies find that providing a fact-finding preview visit for new assignees is an essential part of the relocation process. Allowing the executive and his/her family to get a taste of their new life can help ease the transition and relieve a lot of concerns before the big move.

At Troika Relocations a typical preview visit includes the following elements:

Look-See Tours

• A comprehensive needs assessment

• A general overview of the destination city

• An accompanied city orientation tour, including residential areas, sample housing, school visits, an introduction to shopping, medical facilities, sports and leisure opportunities

• A discussion on expat life in the destination city – healthcare, social life, leisure, security, driving, climate, immigration issues, etc.• A Welcome Pack – information on residential areas, schools, medical centres, leisure and shopping facilities, maps, cultural activities, social organisations, banking, insurance, driving, etc.

To ensure that your move goes as smoothly as possible, we work with you to define your precise property needs. We then help you find the property that best matches your requirements.

We personally accompany each assignee when viewing properties, and provide support and guidance throughout the contract negotiations, right up to the hand-over. Our role is to ensure the best deal for our clients, both personally and financially.

Once the assignee and family have arrived, the business of getting to know the new home city starts in earnest.

An accompanied orientation tour can assist in this process enormously, giving a firm grounding in everything from public transport use, shopping habits, health facilities and places to eat.

As expatriates ourselves, Troika Relocations has a wealth of local knowledge which we can pass on to incoming assignees. With a thorough understanding of the preferred residential locations, our consultants will help assignees enjoy their new home city from the very start.

We've built our reputation on providing made-to-measure solutions - a reputation which continues to grow.

Given the high cost of hotel accommodation, and the shortage of available rooms at any given time, many individuals and corporations prefer to rent short-term apartments during their visit to Moscow.

Moscow has a well developed market for temporary apartments, and this option is becoming increasingly popular with executives travelling here for longer stays, who do not want to be confined to a hotel bedroom. Most properties are based in the city centre, with modern furniture and fittings, high-speed Internet, and easy access to the Metro.

Troika Relocations is partnered with the largest provider of short-term apartments, and will be happy to arrange a solution to your short-term accommodation needs. Whether for 2-3 days, or for 2-3 months, we can locate the right property for you.
