IMPORTANT DATESRe-enrollmentGreat job to all the families who have already submitted their re-enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year. We encourage all families to take advantage of the early re-enrollment incentive. By enrolling on or before March 1 your enrollment is $250 per student. After March 1, the fee increases to $500 per student. If you would like to discuss your re-enrollment or any other plans you are considering for next year, we encourage you to contact Mrs. Phillips or Mrs Thompson. They would welcome the opportunity to discuss your plans for next year.

Bring Us Your BoxtopsWe’re driving for another round of Boxtops this month, and the class competition continues. Bring in your boxtops by March 15 for credit.

Auction DonationsThe planning team is seeking new and exciting donations for the 2018 auction. We know that many employers and business owners are interested in donating to these type events. Have you considered talking to your work place? Here are some ideas you can personally donate or run by the boss:

Travel: Use of vacation home, frequent flyer miles, hotel points or stays, resorts, spas, getaway packages

Professional Services: Architectural, landscape, design, massage, home repair, computer service, family portraits, pet sitting, veterinary services or dental/teeth whitening

Restaurants: Gift certificates to anything from pizza to five-star restaurants

Outings: Children’s day outings, museum passes, movie theater passes, amusement park admission tickets

Lesson/Crafts: Piano/Voice/Music/Dance Lessons/Acting, Sport Clinic, Yoga/Zumba/Pilates, Sip and Draw Art, Picture Framing and Photography classes

Tickets or luxury box seating at sports/cultural events: Show tickets, celebrity/athlete meet and greet

Luxury Items: Use of your vacation property, backstage passes, limo rides/classic car rental

Electronics: Designer Headphones, Tablets, Laptop/Notebook, Home theater system, Cameras

Cash contributions can also be made.

Girls Soccer: Girls Soccer:The Lady Tigers are off to a roaring start this season with a 3-0 record. After picking up a win against Los Gatos Christian in penalty kicks, the girls have gone on to beat Baymonte and Campbell Christian. With three games left in the season the girls will look to continue their winning ways as they head into playoffs.

Every person in this educational institution contributes to the whole. Every piece is connected and every piece matters. This week we celebrate our Director of Community Development and Director of Admissions, Betsy Phillips.

Mrs. Phillips loves building community, connecting people, and talking about SJCS to new families! “When you really connect the value of education at SJCS to the benefits for children and families, I cannot imagine how a family would choose something different than what we offer. Not only are we intentional in the classroom, but also in every event and activity. The biggest distinctive we have is our partnership of school, home, and church. I think this approach is so unique in our valley. When people really understand that partnership, it can help their children thrive.”

Betsy and the office team engage the SJCS mission. They are intentional about displaying a love for God, a desire to learn and a commitment to serve. Their effective processes point to engagement with all the different members of our community. They support our teachers so that together our staff can effectively raise up kids to transform His kingdom. Betsy overflows with joy as she shares, “Because I believe in our mission statement with my whole heart, it is easy for me to share our story and build events, tours, and community connection points in support of that mission.”
