TDM2000 Polska promotes human rights, particularly the rights of ethnic and national minorities, women’s rights, as well as rights of other minorities. Moreover, we foster cooperation with neighbouring countries, in particular Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Belarus. The organisation also deals with promotion and deepening of regional cooperation, with particular emphasis on the promotion of the Lower Silesia region’s cultural and historical heritage.

TDM2000 Polska is the Polish branch of the TDM2000 Internazionale. TDM 2000, placed in Cagliari, promotes personal and professional development of young people aiming to make them active citizens in the societies they live in.

PROJECT

Project „Training of Trainers and Active Leaders” consists of three activities:

“TOTAL Basic” will be the first activity of the project, designed for participants willing to gain and develop basic training competences and start working as youth trainers. Participants will learn training methods, tools, available resources, and gain skills necessary in their work. Participants of TOTAL Basic will have to implement local follow up activities together with their organisations and send reports within 60 days after they are completed (activity was held in September 2016).

“TOTAL Advance” will be the second activity of the project, dedicated to trainers with average experience in implementation of trainings for young people, with clear need to learn about trainer’s portfolio, development, competences, development of a learning plan, and other skills and knowledge necessary for a professional trainer.

“TOTAL Lab” (laboratory) will be the final activity within the project. “TOTAL Lab” is designed for experienced trainers and provides space for creating new training tools, innovative solutions and approaches in non-formal education, development of training strategies and new projects. Activity will also have impact on networking among trainers and development of European non-formal education youth projects for youth workers.

Now we invite you to TOTAL Lab

The project (and especially TOTAL Lab activity) will offer opportunity for professional development of trainers and policy makers, starting from basic skills, through development of training modules, training strategies, to improve youth work methods, to discuss youth policies, to develop youth work standards.

Participants will work on current documents concerning support for capacity building of trainers, discussing and examining European strategies, they will look closely at the Competence Model for Trainers to work Internationally developed under the European Training Strategy in the field of Youth (https://www.salto-youth.net/trainercompetences) and its 6 competences, reflect on the role of self-assessment mechanisms and external assessment role in competence based approach. Participants will also draft their own recommendations as training policy papers. Proposals will be shared and discussed. Second part of this training will result in innovative training tools and training practices, which will be achieved with peer to peer learning during Open Space Technology.

Please mind that this Training Course is designed for EXPERIENCED trainers, youth workers, policy makers and project managers,

Willing to implement follow-up activities internationally and in their local communities.

Participants should be highly motivated, able to freely communicate in English and work in an international team.

We expect participants to be willing to develop their skills and become members of TOTAL pool of trainers.

Venue

Uzana (Bulgarian: Узана) is a winter resort in Bulgaria. It is located at the foot of Ispolinpeak at 1,420 m above sea level, near the Bulgarka Nature Park in the Stara Planina. It consists of large meadows surrounded by forest. The altitude varies from 1,220 to1,350 m. The longest run is 4,265 ft /1,300 m. The nearest big city is Gabrovo, some 22 km away. Uzana is also the geographic center of Bulgaria.The resort with its 15 hotels provides tourism opportunities throughout the year..

10.04.2017– Shuttle Bus Uzana - SofiaOn the way back It will be organised in the morning from Uzana. Important! please try to go back home from Sofia after 4 pm (after 16:00).

Hosting organisation will organise a Shuttle Bus which will bring us together from the meeting point in Sofia to the place of the project, so in that case the best for you is to find a plane/bus/train from your home city to Sofia directly.


How to get to Bulgaria?

- by Bus: You can visit Internet site http://www.centralnaavtogara.bg/ where you will find more information about international and interurban bus schedules and where you will be able to make online reservations.

- by Train: The main European railway routes pass through Bulgaria. If you prefer traveling to Bulgaria by train we recommend visiting the official site of the Bulgarian State Railways which provide direct or non-direct transportation to main European and Mediterranean cities: http://www.bdz.bg/en/

The meeting point will be conveniently located in the city of Sofia.

Organisers cannot provide you with food & accommodation before or after the project, but we will be glad toprovide you with any information or suggestion that may make your stay safe, comfortable and pleasant.

You may stay up to 1-2 more days before or after the project - just please consult it with us before.


Travel Costs

The organisers will reimburse your travel costs from your home city to Uzana,Bulgaria and way back.

Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt/invoice and up to the level set by the EC based on the distance calculator between seat of your organisation and the guesthouse.

Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon full attendance during the training and presentation of the original tickets with boarding passes andreceipts/invoices. It is possible that we will have to do reimbursement after whole project is done, on the bank account of the sending organisation. However, there is an option that the costs will be reimbursed in cash, on spot.

Cost of the transfer Sofia - Uzana – Sofia (20-30 EUR) will be included in your reimbursement forms and deducted from the total reimbursement you will receive at the end of the project.


Reimbursement Rules

Original Return tickets (e.g. from London to Wroclaw and back)

Photocopies / PDFs of all of your tickets and boarding passes, especially if you fly with low-cost airlines, including the invoice (if you have one). If you’ve booked online, we need the FULL confirmation email of your booking, printed with the date and time the email was sent to you, containing e-mail subject and all e-mail addresses!

Participants who are not able to buy some tickets online or in advance and cannot provide us with it before the end of the training course will have to do it after coming back home - scan it and send originals back to us via post.

Post address for sending tickets will be given in the end of the training course.

E-mail address for sending scans, PDFs and online tickets/invoices/boarding passes [email protected] , in the e-mail title you need to write down your Name, Surname and Country.

First you need to get our approval before buying tickets, so please send us your journey plan latest on March 18th 2017! If you plan to travel outside the official project dates you need TDM2000 Polska approval first. Please contact us!Tickets for travel outside the official travel dates purchased without approval will not be reimbursed.


Health Insurance

Please make sure that coming to the project you have a valid health insurance!

Please make sure that your health insurance makes it eligible to have a medical treatment abroad. This is absolute must if you want to join the project.

You can obtain European Health Insurance Card (EU) or buy travel insurance covering potential medical needs.

Costs regarding Health Insurance are not reimbursed by hosting organisation.


What to bring?

Information materials about your organisation, photos or report from your former projects and other things, which will help you to present your organisation during NGO Fair.

Some national drinks, snacks, brochures, music, posters, traditional garmentsand any other suitable materials for the intercultural evening.

Currency: The official currency of the country is the lev. Since 1997, the country has been governed by a currency board and the value of the lev has been pegged to the Euro, at a fixed rate of 1 EUR – 1.95583 BGN.

The average temperature for April in Uzana is around 15-20 degrees Celcius.
