S.R.O. No. 949(i)/2020.- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (2)

of section 6A of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 (VII of 2010), the Pakistan Post

(AML and CFT) Supervisory Board is pleased to make the following Regulations, namely:-

Pakistan Post (AML and CFT) Regulations, 2020

Chapter-I

1. Short Title, Extent and Commencement. -1) These Regulations shall be called the

Pakistan Posts (AML and CFT) Regulations, 2020.

2) These Regulations shall apply to Pakistan Post.

3) These Regulations shall come into force at once.

2. Definitions. - 1) In these Regulations, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or

context, -

(a) “AML and CFT” means Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of

Terrorism;

(b) “AML Act” means the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 (VII of 2010), as

amended from time to time;

(c) “Client” or “Customer” means any person or legal arrangement engaging for the

purposes of requesting, acquiring, or using any products or services or carrying out

any transaction or business with Pakistan Post;

(d) “Close associate” of a PEP means:
