Fundraising As a student organization, we

want to do fun things together, but

in order to have these events we

first have to fundraise.

Concessions

Last semester, we worked con-

cessions at a high school football

tournament and UMD basketball

games. We had a lot of fun and

got to spend time with our friends

while helping out the fraternity.

Camping Every semester, the Eta

Delta chapter of Theta

Tau goes on a camping

trip together. The camp-

ing trip helps build bonds

between brothers and the

incoming pledge class.

Regional Conference

The Atlantic region of Theta Tau hosts conferences every semester. We work together to

improve our fraternity on a regional scale and share ideas. Each semester the conference

is hosted at a different school. We were glad to visit our brothers at Johns Hopkins.

A Wider Circle Last semester we volunteered to help out at A Wider Circle. A Wider Circle seeks to end pov-erty in local communities by collecting donations and selling them at cheap prices to individ-uals and families suffering from poverty. We were able to con-tribute our time towards helping them stock their store with new donations.

Anacostia Watershed

Society Our brothers helped the local community by working

with the Anacostia Watershed Society to plant new

rain gardens at the Meadowbrook Run Apartments.

Rain gardens help improve the water quality in near-

by bodies of water.

Capital Area Food Bank Our chapter worked with the Capital Area Food

Bank to help feed those suffering from hunger in

the DC area. Their mission is to acquire food and

distribute it to those in need. They seek to edu-

cate, empower, and enlighten the DC community

about hunger and nutrition.

Thanks-giving Pot-luck The Iota pledge class

graciously hosted a

Thanksgiving potluck

for our chapter.

Brothers all brought

food and we had a

wonderful turkey din-

ner before Thanks-

giving. Everyone

contributed to make

a wonderful meal for

the entire chapter.

Study Hours This past fall, we began holding regular study hours in the Engineering and Physical Sciences Library on campus. Every week people get together to work on homework together and bring food to share with everyone else. Brothers are always willing to help each other out whenever they can.
