    Resorts nowadays are usually overrated and are mostly situated in famous

    tourist spots.

    Quality is not being given importance anymore.

    Lack of amenities and facilities

    Its always the same and theres nothing new to offer.

    Why Japanese?

  • Project Objectives This project aim to develop a destination resort that would:

    Reflect an old Japanese town and their traditional architecture, customs

    and culture.

    Allow the users to feel the Japanese experience during their stay.

    Provide a place for people whose ideal vacation is into health and wellness.

    Maintain, preserve and enhance the natural potential and communities

    within the Resort.

    Exude the feeling of being close to nature.

  • Design Objectives

    The main objective of this proposal is to design a Japanese themed destination resort.

    Specifically the objectives are:

    To design a resort facility that would reflect the old Japanese custom and tradition.

    To develop nature-oriented spaces that would give off feeling of tranquillity and

    serenity while savouring the beauty of nature.

    To create spaces that is functional and has a quality of design that would promote

    health and wellness and revitalized the guests through the peaceful ambiance in the

    resort.

    To design structures that would have Japanese architecture as inspiration and would

    adapt its concept of sustainability and minimalist aesthetic sense. It aims to showcase

    the principle of rustic simplicity and irregularity.

  • Design Concept

    Wabi Sabi Sabi is connected to the design concepts asymmetry and austerity Wabi is translated as rustic simplicity and an understated simplicity. Wabi Sabi represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".
