Christmas Joy Offering
Through our Christmas Joy Offering, we
at FPC have an opportunity to reflect the
perfect gift given to us… the gift of Jesus.
The gifts received through this offering
will be used:
50% to provide support for students…
future leaders… the opportunity to attend
Presbyterian-related schools and colleges,
and:
50% to provide emergency financial assis-
tance to retired Presbyterian church work-
ers who are in need due to health care cri-
ses or natural disasters. Some cannot af-
ford to remain in their current homes or
cannot afford assisted living or long-term
care.
This Joy Offering will be received on
Christmas Eve. If you are unable to attend
the Christmas Eve service, Joy Offering
envelopes will be available to you during
Christmas week, or you may donate online
if you wish at fpcconroe.org/wish.
In short, our Christmas Joy Gift will go to
both future and past leaders in our Presby-
terian churches. Please be generous!
Thank you and merry Christmas to all.
A Special Thank You from CISD
“Dear Reverend Green,
Many, many thanks to you and your con-
gregation for the generous book donation.
The majority of books were distributed
during our school’s Title 1 Reading Night
on October 29th. Every student that attend-
ed was delighted to receive a free book.
You should have seen the smiles! Thank
you so much for making our Reading
Night a success.
The remainder of books will be distributed
in March during Dr. Seuss’ Read Across
America Day. Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you! Thank you!”

2019 Seafarers’ Boxes
On behalf of Presbyterian Women, I want to
acknowledge the tremendous support you all gave to
our Seafarers’ Christmas Project again this year. Thanks also to Tom Lowery, who drove in
heavy rain to the seafarers center, to deliver the 101 boxes. We could not have accom-
plished this without your help. Thank you so much! ~ Susan Buckley

FPC Youth Wows with Donations
Part of our youth mission project last
month was to collect and assemble pet
care packages for the Meals on Wheels
(MOW) AniMeals Program.
On Tuesday, November 12th, the
Youth Group delivered around
1,000 pet packages, plus beds,
toys and $265 in cash/card dona-
tions. The MOW staff was amazed at the amount of do-
nations collected by the PYCC youth. This year we have
three FPC Youth on the PYCC Staff: Anna McNamara,
Abby Stewart and Kyle Williams as Co-Moderator.
