Leander is recognised internationally for the extraordinary achievements of its athletes who have won Olymypic Gold at every Games since 1984 and a total of 123 medals in all, including 12 in Rio.

Leander has nurtured some of the country’s most decorated Olympic rowing legends, including Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Matthew Pinsent, James Cracknell, Pete Reed, Steve Williams, Mark Hunter, Alex Gregory and Debbie Flood.

Rowing is the ultimate team experience as it requires every member of the crew to give total focus to the task in hand. Sharing the Leander Rowing Experience encourages leadership and collaboration – skills which are developed as crews learn to ‘pull together as one’.

The Leander Rowing Experience works equally for customer entertaining as it does for employee motivation and teambuilding. Either way, a day at Leander is sure to inspire and entertain, leaving a lasting impression on all who participate.

THE LEANDER ROWING EXPERIENCE

• Day membership to Leander Club • Athletes, coxes & coaches - in the

gym and on the water• Use of all equipment including VIII boats

on the river and rowing machines in the gym with software racing programme (if required)

• Coffee & pastries, ‘Crew Lunch’ and afternoon tea

• Meeting room - with state-of-the-art equipment • Overnight accommodation -11 individually

designed en-suite rooms • Motivational speakers - current Olympic

SUGGESTED PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY – BASED ON 10 PARTICIPANTS12:30 Arrival at Leander Club12:45 ‘Crew Lunch’ – eat like a Leander athlete – but smaller portions!

(alternative buffet menus available on request)

13:45 Welcome & Introduction to rowing14:00 Tour of the club and boathouse with one of the athletes or coaches14:30 Warm-up, basic training and ‘relay’ on the rowing machines in the gym15:00 On the water 16:30 Tea and Cake over the Debrief (with prize-giving if required)17:00 Departure

SUITABLE FOR 5 TO 20 PARTICIPANTS 5 per boat (+ 3 Leander athletes & a cox)Packages are flexible to suit your specific needs.

Please note:All participants will be asked to sign a disclaimer to confirm that they can swim and know of no medical or physical conditions that would place themselves or the crew at risk. Specialist rowing clothing is not required but participants will need snug fitting sports clothing. For safety reasons, jeans are not allowed.
