The Day in the Life of a CSUN Volleyball PlayerThe life of a student athlete is hectic In addition to staying in top physical shape for the sport they play, they must find time to study and find time to practice, while balancing their social lives and making time for relaxation. This is a typical Friday for them.
Friday-Noon
The Friday Workout-1:30 p.m.“I usually do about 80 push-ups and 40 abs rollers” –Alex Jones, 20, CSUN Volleyball
Friday 3:00 p.m.-Practice at Dorm Courts
About an hour later-Light Water Break
“The hardest part about volleyball is the learning curve. Once you can handle the ball it’s an easy sport but some just don’t stick with it. You have to stick with it to see how fun it really is.” –Kyle Stevenson, 19, CSUN Volleyball
Friday 4:15 p.m.-Cool off in Pool
Friday 6:30 p.m.-Dinner at Geronimo's
7:15 p.m.-Home“I usually take a nap before I get ready for the night.” -Jones
