An Insider’s Look: Announcing the Chris -Tel Propel Award

C h r i s - T e l C o n s t r u c t i o n W e l c o m e s N e w A s s o c i a t e s

We have rebranded our construction app StreetDeetz. It is in the final stages of beta testing and will be released to a handful of the staff members

at Chris-Tel Construction for further testing and fine tuning before it goes live on the Apple Store and on Google Play.

Paul Coka joins Chris-Tel Construction as an intern in the Accounting Department. He is currently a Sopho-more at Florida Gulf Coast University where he is studying towards a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Originally from Ecuador, Paul spends his time when he isn’t working studying and working out.

Propel. Verb | pro•pel | prə-’pel To drive forward or onward by or as if by means of a force that imparts motion.

The Propel Award, was established in order to recognize and honor one employee who, like the above definition, drives Chris-Tel forward

by means of a force. That force being his/her attitude, commitment, work ethic, ideas and know how. The Propel Award will be given to

someone who strives to make our firm a better place and one who goes above and beyond for the success of the company, their co-

workers and the client.

In the coming months, you will receive a nomination form from your executive team that explains the criteria needed to nominate one of

your co-workers. There are no self nominations. The nomination form will be a series of questions about why the person you are nomi-

nating deserves the Propel Award and how they embody the very essence of what it means to propel Chris-Tel. The nomination forms will

be sent in to Alba Gonzalez by a particular due date and then a selection committee will review the nominations and choose the winner

based on the submissions.

The winner will be announced at our annual Holiday Party in December. Each year going forward, we will have a Chris-Tel Propel Award

winner and the names will be added to our winners plaque in the main office.

We are excited about this award and hope that you are too! Please be on the lookout for the nomination form to be sent out and start

thinking of who you would like to nominate for this prestigious award.

Our intern program with FGCU has afforded us three interns that are either already working with us or will join us in the summer. Two of the in-

terns (Cody Brown and Nicole Compress) are Civil Engineering students at FGCU and will be learning project management, estimating and superin-

tendent skills in real time on our job sites this summer. Our in office intern, Paul Coka, is working towards his Bachelors Degree in Accounting and

has been working PT for the past few months with Andrea, Julie and Alba.

Chris-Tel Construction has created a team for Women Build in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. To join the team or make a donation, please

visit our page at https://habitat4humanity.donorpages.com/2018WomenBuild/ChrisTelConstructionWomen/. Sign ups for volunteering begin

April 28th.
