Pope Sends Telegram for California Wildfires
Informed of the tragic loss of life and the destruction of property caused by the wildfire in California, the Holy Father assures you of his heartfelt solidarity and his prayers for all those affected by this disaster. He is especially mindful of those who mourn the loss of their loved ones and who fear for the lives of those still missing. His Holiness offers encouragement to the civil authorities and emergency personnel as they assist the victims of this tragedy. To all he sends his blessing.

Novena Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory
Merciful Mother, in union with the Church Triumphant in heaven, we beg of you, pray for the souls in purgatory. Be mindful of your motherly love for them and beg of Jesus the merits of His eternal love for them. May they be freed from their suffering to soon enjoy eternal peace and happiness. Oh Mary, thank you for interceding for the grace of perseverance for the faithful departed.
Loving Savior, Jesus Christ, You are the King of Kings in the land of eternal bliss. We beg of You, in Your mercy hear our prayer and set free the holy souls in purgatory, especially (name). Lead them to the light and freedom of the children of God in the Kingdom of Your glory. Loving Savior, We thank You for having redeemed the poor souls with Your most Precious Blood. Amen
May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
November is the month that the Catholic Church remembers our beloved dead in a special way. We begin with ALL SAINTS Holy Day on November 1, which reminds us that we are all part of the Communion of Saints. On the following day November 2, we observe The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, better known as All Souls’ Day. This year an All Souls’ Novena will be offered from November 2nd through the 10th. The prayer below is offered for your use during the period of the novena. We invite you to share the names of those you would like to have held in prayer by filling out one of the All Souls’ envelopes found in the pews and entrances to the church. Please return these in the collection basket at mass or bring them to the Parish Office at 473 Lincoln Avenue by the end of October. Throughout the month of November the combined prayers of our parish community will be focused on the specific intentions for deceased family and friends. All the envelope prayers petitions will be gathered and placed on display in our churches. You may submit names at any time.

Gospel Inspired Prayer Ma hew 22: 15‐21
Caesar, did you create the stars?
Can you make blood course through human veins?
Or cra a hummingbird or a Gerbera daisy?
Your coins can’t buy what we really need.
Creator, God you are the one whose face we seek.
We are made in your image.
Please take us as your own.
Amen

We are continuing in Galatians and discussing why Paul said "if you say there is any other gospel than then the one I teach may that one be accursed". The bible gospels includes many verses that can help us out in every day life. Some of these verses include: PS 34:16-20, Is 40:28-31, Phil 4:4-7, Eph 2:4-10, Jn 14:1-3, Jn 3:16-18. Use these verses any time you feel in despair!! These are the things we are studying in our bible study right now. Please join us, bring your bible we will furnish the rest.
