33 Days - Reflections From Formation On December 8, 2015 a very special Mass was offered at St. Rita’s Church in honor of the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception. During that Mass, Fr. Chris Wallace led approximately 40 people through their anticipated Consecration to Our Lady, after spending the previous 33 days in preparation for this day – using Fr. Michael Gaitley’s powerful book entitled, “33 Days to Morning Glory”. Here are some of the beautiful reflections that these newly consecrated members offered after this memorable day: I have friends that call the Blessed Mother "Mom" or "my Mother"
and even “Mommy" - I was wondering what I was missing - now I know. Mary is so very special and now she treats me as a very special son.
What I enjoyed most about our 33 Days to Morning Glory preparation and Consecration was . . . The beautiful examples of the receiving and giving of unending unconditional love and the effects that has on our lives and of the whole world.
What I enjoyed the most was learning that I wasn't the only one who questioned my faith the last few years, this preparation helped me learn to listen to what I read and pray with an open mind.
What I enjoyed most about our "33 Days to Morning Glory" preparation and Consecration was that it deepened my knowledge of Mother Mary through seeing her through the eyes of St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, Blessed Mother Teresa and St. Pope John Paul II. Although each one's way is different, their great love for Mother Mary is evident. It made me realize the seriousness of the consecra-tion. Each day and each week, we were led closer to Mother Mary by pondering the material in the book. By the time it came to making the consecration, I realized the great gift and treasure that Mother Mary is to us. I soon saw that Jesus in His goodness and love is sharing His Beloved Mother with me and others to speed up our sanctification and our journey to heaven.
I am so glad I did this 33 days to morning glory. I can't explain how it has changed my thinking and feeling. I have learned things about myself that makes me see so different. I would tell everyone to try it and you may be surprised. It is beautiful!
What I enjoyed most about our 33 Days to Morning Glory is the closeness I felt to the Mother of God. Each
time I make this consecration, I receive an inner peace that brings joy to my heart – a joy that helps spread
God's message of Love and Mercy to everyone I meet, and especially to the students I teach. Yet, this time,
the closeness of Virgin Mary seemed to impact me the most, especially Her complete devotion to God the
Father, and never taking Her eye off of doing His will.

Spiritual Bouquet/Enrollment Due to dwindling parishioner requests, once our supply of St. Rita spiritual enrollments has been depleted, this remembrance offering will be discontinued. The Mass Cards/Intentions, however, will continue to be available by simply calling the Parish Office to schedule your Mass date/time in memory of your loved one. Many parishioners have asked, “What is the difference between the two?” The Mass Card is a remembrance by which we offer an announced Mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased person or for the intention of the living. The Spiritual Bouquet is an enrollment (unannounced) by which we remember the person at all Masses for one year. There are numerous ways to remember your loved one here at the parishes. You may schedule a Mass Intention or a Memorial of either the Bread & Wine or the Sanctuary Light for a specific week. We are currently scheduling Mass Intentions through June of 2016. While the popular weekend Mass times are quickly booking up, there is plenty of availability during the daily Masses.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the Parish Office.
Tax Season Unbelievable as it seems, Advent Season is being replaced with our favorite season, Tax Season! For those of you who use regular weekly Offertory envelopes or the online giving method and have donated at least $250 or more this past year, your statement of parish contributions (including Grand Annual payments) will be mailed out before the end of January. If you do not receive a statement by the end of January, please call the Parish Office. If you would like to begin using the Offertory envelopes or the online giving program for weekly or monthly contributions, please call to set this up. Both methods are a convenient way to ensure a consistent weekly donation and help us to maintain our yearly budget. Thank you!
