HOW DOES IT WORK ?
Medical device is associated with a profile. Profile contains information network connectivity and access control rules.
Medical device is connected to ONA
– ONA runs Open Virtual Switch software with Auto Attach.
– Each ONA has a 1-1 association with a medical device. This association is defined in Avaya SDN Controller.
When ONA powers up it contacts Avaya SDN Controller (installed in the appliance) to get profile for connected medical device
ONA applies profile rules and starts managing traffic to/from medical device based on the rules.
