Have you been by Wellington’s newest market yet? The Wellington Night Market offers around 22 stalls with 10 amazing food stalls cooking up tasty street snacks and delicacies from around the world. Also on offer are arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing, fashion accessories, mobile phones cases and more. Free live entertainment, cultural performers and music, make for a truly memorable night out and a festival atmosphere that will keep you coming back!

Sat 28 Jul - NZ Film Festival: Tatarakihi - The Children of Parihaka
This is the world premiere of a new documentary from award winning producer/director Paora Joseph. Set in the present the film follows a group of schoolchildren from the Taranaki pa on a bus trip they made in 2009 to follow the forced journey of their ancestors, political prisoners from Parihaka, in the 1880s. The film weaves the observations of the children - through artwork, poetry and song - and the footage of their journey with archival photography to bring the history to life.

VUWSA has partnered with various environmental clubs on campus to bring you a variety of activities for Environment Week! All events are free!
Tue 31st Jul – Come along to the new Kumutoto Restoration project sure and help plant a seedling! 11am – 1pm, Kumutoto Restoration project site next to club Kelburn tennis courts.
Thur 2nd Aug – Hear from the sustainability trust and Greens@Vic about how to keep your flat warm, learn some knitting skills and how to make a door snake (draught stopper). 2– 4pm, SU217
Fri 3rd Aug – Ideas afternoon Discover and discuss ways to mitigate Victoria’s carbon footprint. 1 – 2.30pm Meeting room2 (Student Union).
