Teslers Time Out Wellington events Sun 13 Nov – Wellington Santa Parade Santa is joined by an array of fun friends, including Kung Fu Panda, Spongebob Squarepants and Bugs Bunny in this spectacular secular celebration! The parade moves down Lampton Quay, Willis Street, Mercer Street, Victoria Street and Manners. Sun 13 Nov (20 Nov if raining). Starts 2pm on Lampton Quay. Free! 25-27 Nov Botanic Gardens Rose Festival There are hundreds of beautiful roses blooming at the Lady Norwood Rose Garden this month. Have a picnic, wander the gardens at your own pace or join a guided walk to learn more. Vote for your favourite rose to win prizes! There is also a Rose Show, showcasing Wellingtonian’s best blooms! Free coffee at the Treehouse cafe for anyone named Rose; now I wonder when the Fern festival will be! Guided walk: Sun 27 Nov, 11am. $4. Meet at the fountain. Rose Show: Sun 27 Nov, 10.30am – 3pm. Free! Until 5 Dec - Pilgrimage The Rugby World Cup may be over (and ours!) but Kiwi’s passion for the sport never fades. Pilgrimage is a light box photography exhibition. The photographers move beyond the game itself, to look at the ways rugby permeates our lives, landscapes and national identity; something we have all witnessed firsthand this year! In this last issue of our newsletter we would like to bid a final farewell to Robyn Giles, and express our thanks for the support and kindness she has offered to our students during the last 2 years.
