You may not be planning a career in NZ, but it is a great chance to interact with professionals and sign up to learn about more opportunities throughout the year! They also require some student volunteers to help run the fair: Outgoing students with an interest in career opportunities who have a professional attitude and are comfortable engaging with employers and students. You must be totally reliable –this is one of the university’s most important events and we must be able to depend on you. Kieran will once again be holding fortnightly sports session on the Boyd Wilson Field or indoors. Vote for your favourite sport on the VicTeslers facebook page, and remember to RSVP! Hurricanes vs. Blues Game Thank you to all those students who RSVPed on time for this event! The weather isn’t looking great, so bring plenty of warm layers. We are also holding a Rugby 101 session from 2-3pm tomorrow - see our facebook page and your emails for more details! And please RSVP. A Note on RSVPs A lot of events lately have required an RSVP. This is so we know how many tickets to book, how many people to expect, how much food to prepare etc. It is VERY important that you RSVP on time, or we will simply think no one wants to come! Just a quick email will suffice. Victoria events Wed 9 May - 150 Love Poems This is not on campus, but features some Victoria-grown poets such as Harry Rickets and Bill Manhire. Snuggle up on Meow’s couches with a hot drink and hear the poets read their works. Books will be available for purchase. Wed 9 May, 6pm, Meow Cafe, 9 Edwards St, Wellington. Free entry. Wed 9 May - Fairtrade Forum and Free Dessert! VicIDS and Fairtrade Wellington join forces to bring you this forum, featuring talks by Fairtrade coffee and business owners.
