OBSERVATION OF INAUGURAL DAY OF SWACHHATA – HI- SEVA AT SDAH STATION ON 11/09/19.
The flagship inaugural programme of Eastern Railway has been organized at SDAH station where
Divisional Railway Manager, Eastern Railway, Sealdah Sri. Prabhas Dansana, Addl. Divisional
Railway Manager/G Sri U K Pandey, Addl. Divisional Railway Manager/I Sri A M Singh, Addl.
Divisional Railway Manager/O Sri Vineet Gupta along with all BOs of Sealdah Division were
present.
Welcome addressed by Sri Upendra Kumar Pandey, Addl. Divisional Railway Manager/G, Eastern Railway, Sealdah
The day has been observed with the following activities:
Musical presentations by the staff of Sealdah Division:
The disadvantages of single use plastic was thoroughly displayed through colorful placards by RPF,
Scout & Guides, Civil Defence staff.
Spreading awareness regarding abuse of single use plastic.
Address by Prabhas Dansana, Divisional Railway Manager, Eastern Railway, Sealdah
Pledge Taking ceremony regarding boycott of single use plastic headed by
Dr K Chakraborty, ACMS/BRSH/SDAH

Awareness walk throughout the station done by all stake holders
Shramdan and awareness campaign were organized for keeping Railway areas free from Plastic.
Railway staff, Officers, Scout and Guides as well as Civil Defense staff participated in the
program.
Entire station premises were intensively cleaned and plastic wastes were thoroughly
removed.
About 450 nos. waste plastic water bottles were crushed in pet bottle crushing machine.
All the stake-holders of Sealdah station also participated in the campaign and took pledge
to stop using single use plastic.
