Cleanliness Drive for Swachh Bharat – Swachhata Pakhwada 1. Swachhata Shapath Day (1 st September 2021) With reference to CBSE Circular no. 73/2021 Dated :31st August 2021, our school Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gwalior conducted Swachhata Shapath Day on 1st Sep 2021 in the school premises. All the teachers and about 200 students of class IX and X actively participated. The pledge was led by Alisha Siddiqui of class X- B. Activity was conducted strictly keeping in view the Covid-19 protocols laid down by the Government. 1. Swachhata Shapath Day (1st September 2021) With reference to CBSE Circular no. 73/2021 Dated :31st August 2021, our school Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gwalior conducted Swachhata Shapath Day on 1st Sep 2021 in the school premises. All the teachers and about 200 students of class IX and X actively participated. The pledge was led by Alisha Siddiqui of class X- B. Activity was conducted strictly keeping in view the Covid-19 protocols laid down by the Government. Everyone in the campus pledged to take every step possible to keep our School, City, State and Nation clean and safe.

2. Swachhata Awareness Day (2nd September 2021) In the wave of Swachh Bharat Mission, CBSE laid down guidelines under which our school, Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gwalior is holding the campaign named Swachhata Pakhwada in and out of the school premises from 1st Sep. 2021 to 15th Sep. 2021. On 2nd September 2021 the 2nd day of the campaign i.e Swachhata Awareness Day was celebrated. On this day, a speech was delivered by Krishna Pathak of X-C on Swachhata Awareness, through her speech everyone in the school premises were motivated to follow the Covid-19 guidelines, measures for Personal Hygiene and to understand the importance of Safe drinking Water, Students and teachers of class IX and X participated actively.

3. Community Outreach Day (3rd September 2021) With reference to CBSE Circular No. ACAD73/2021, dt. 31st August 2021, our school Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gwalior had organised Digital Media post for the campaign on FB, School website under Community Outreach Day. COD in its full swing was taken up with high spirit which was conducted virtually on 3rd September 2021. Many students of std. IX were motivated, encouraged and highly appreciated for their active and enthusiastic participation in spreading awareness among the Upcoming Future Citizens of our Nation. A video presentation includes various activities such as introduction of Swachhata Pakhwada, speech & poem on cleanliness & Covid 19 pandemic, posters, slogans, protocols of Covid 19, quotes, picture display on preventive measures against pandemic maintaining hygiene, a striking inspirational message, use of disinfectants and wipes against Covid-19, pledge, etc. were highlighted. It was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shaloo Saxena and Mr. Royal James.

4. Green School Drive Days (4th- 5th September 2021)
With reference to CBSE CIRCULAR NO. ACAD73/2021Dated 31st Aug 2021, our
school Carmel Convent Sen. Sec. School, Gwalior had organized Planting sampling,
Water activity under Green School Drive Day on 4th and 5th Sep. The students of
classes 6th to 10th present their expressions through their plants. Lovely gestures of
young ones were captured being very close to the nature. We firmly believe that if
our students are instilled with this Noble habit of nurturing the nature at young age
will help them to become responsible citizens towards environment & nature
especially. Activity was conducted keeping in view the Covid 19 protocols.

5. Swachhata Participation Days (6th – 7th September 2021)
Slogan Writing Competition:
With reference to CBSE CIRCULAR NO. ACAD73/2021Dated 31st Aug 2021, our school Carmel Convent Sen. Sec. School, Gwalior had organized Slogan Writing Competition under Swachhta Participation Day on 6th and 7th Sep. The students of class 9 had participated actively. The objective was to spread awareness amongst students for a Clean and Green India. Awareness program was attended by around 100 students. Activity was conducted keeping in view the Covid 19 protocols. The best slogans were selected and given certificates.

6. Hand Wash Day (8th September 2021)
As all the CBSE schools were advised to observe Swachhata Pakhwada from 1st Sep to 15th Sep 2021, we in Carmel Convent School took up the activity of Hand Wash for Std V & VI. So, the teachers gave awareness to the students of all sections of Std V & VI about the importance of washing hands specially during Covid-19. Because of this, students participated in this activity very enthusiastically.

7. Personal Hygiene Days (9th -10th September 2021) Under CBSE NOTIFICATION, we initiated a cleanliness drive in and out of the school
premises. Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gwalior is glad and proud to notify that,
just We have Celebrated the Personal Hygiene Day on 9th Sept.2021. Students of
Class XI gave a speech on Personal Hygiene to spread Awareness on its importance
and methods. Stay Clean and Stay Safe.

8. Swachhata School exhibition Day (11th – 12th September 2021) With reference to CBSE Circular no. 73/2021 Dated :31st August 2021, our school Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gwalior conducted all the activities given in circular. Photographs, paintings, cartoons, slogans etc. made by students on Swachhata are uploaded on School’s website by Computer Science department.
9. Swachhata Action Plan (13th – 14th September 2021) All Teachers (class teachers and subject teachers) are requested to hold the classroom discussion, convey messages among students over cleanliness and collect suggestions as to new measures that can be practiced.
10. Prize Distribution Day (15th September 2021) All participated members & Winners, Teachers Team of Swachhata Pakhwada were appreciated by School Management i.e., Our Principal, Sr. Rev. Ramya, Coordinator-- Mrs. Mamta Agarwal, Mrs. Sujamani & Mrs. Upma Sharma. All teachers, students and their Parents also showed their interest and support in various competitions and activities conducted during the campaign. Such as, Classroom Discussion, Awareness Speeches, Painting, Plantings, Slogan, poem Recited, Crafting etc. *Prizes were announced. Digital Certificates virtually issued. Our special thanks to Computer Dept. for their needed support.
