System EER AnalysisThese calculations, per ARI Guideline V-2003, should be used to assist the designer in calculatingthe energy efficiency impact of applied energy recovery ventilation equipment.
Recovery Efficiency of Energy Wheel
Recovery Efficiency Ratio (RER) 53.91
Energy Recovery Coefficient of Performance (ER COP) 15.8
Energy Efficiency of System
Unitary Net Cooling (tons) 1.00
Equipment EER 11
Combined Efficiency (CEF) 21.06
Recovery Efficiency Ratio (RER): The ratio of energy recovered by the energy recovery wheel to theenergy expended in the recovery process.
Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER): The ratio of the cooling capacity in Btu/h to the power input of airconditioning equipment. This number is given by the unitary or condensing unit manufacturer.
Coefficient of Performance (COP): A ratio of the cooling / heating capacity in watts [W] to the powerinput values in watts[W].
Combined Efficiency (CEF): The efficiency of a system combining an ERV component with a unitarypackaged air conditioner, heat pump, etc.

Controls By Others
BASIC UNIT CONTROLS: The Energy Recovery Unit will be provided from the factory with an integral controlcenter including: a single non-fused disconnect, 24 VAC transformer, terminal strip, fan starters (contactor andoverload) and an energy wheel contactor.
COOLING CONTROL
HEATING CONTROL
ON/OFF CONTROL: Within the unit control center, a digital signal must be field wired into the terminal strip(connecting terminals R and G) to control unit startup or shutdown. This on/off signal is coming from:
Startup (Digital Contact Closes) Outdoor air damper actuator is energized and powers open Exhaust air damper actuator is energized and powers open Exhaust blower starts Supply blower starts Energy Wheel is energized
Shutdown (Digital Contact Opens) Supply blower is de-energized Exhaust blower is de-energized Outside air damper actuator de-energized, damper spring-return closed Exhaust air damper actuator de-energized, damper spring-return closed Energy Wheel de-energized
FROST CONTROL OPTION
None: No frost control option is being provided by factory.
WHEEL CONTROL (ECONOMIZER) OPTION
None: No wheel control is provided by the factory. The energy wheel will run at full speed during operationof unit.

System EER AnalysisThese calculations, per ARI Guideline V-2003, should be used to assist the designer in calculatingthe energy efficiency impact of applied energy recovery ventilation equipment.
Recovery Efficiency of Energy Wheel
Recovery Efficiency Ratio (RER) 49.54
Energy Recovery Coefficient of Performance (ER COP) 14.52
Energy Efficiency of System
Unitary Net Cooling (tons) 1.00
Equipment EER 11
Combined Efficiency (CEF) 24.15
